| 07 rhino 660 dynatech cdi I 'm a newbee to the website, joined this month and love it. i was riddin this weekend at the Wagon Wheel and went a little deep in the mud pit. long story short, the darn thing runs great, but i now get 8mph in low and 12mph in high. I've cleaned the belt and sheeve and still no luck. wondering if it may be the clutch, shifting forks, medium/high gears or cdi/electrical problems keeping it from shifting. The motor and tranny runs and sounds fine. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED... before i take it to the stealership... | |

| Welcome to the site!
The only thing I can think of is one of the rollers in the sheave may have shifted on you when you took it apart and cleaned it. I would pull the primary sheave out again and take it apart on the bench and see if all rollers are free. Did you regrease the rollers when you had it apart cleaning it? | |

| Im glad you asked this question. I actully had the same thing happen to me at Powerline Park in ohio. I can only get 18mph in high and about 14mph in low. So you guys think its the rollers I will have to take it apart and check everything. Thanks alot guys. | |

| Lightweight I would say in your case it is the primary sheave packed with mud. Take it apart and clean it out and you should be good. Mudslinger said he already cleaned out the sheave so thats why I am thinking he has a roller out of place. | |

| I've seen crud packed in behind the secondary sheave before, and one would think you could hear a roller weight out of place, but either way its worth pulling it apart again to double check. Id go as far as using some sort of electrical contact cleaner (anything that will not leave a residue) on the faces of both sheaves to make sure you didnt pick up some grease that would cause the belt not to grab. If you cant smell or hear the belt slipping, then it almost has to be the primary weights. | |
