| got my radio installed last night. i went for a ride and the wire i taped into for keyed power must have been for the brakes because when i would hit the brakes the radio would lose power. so i rewired the keyed power straight to the battery and added a switch to turn it off. the switch i had a little accident with the drill and put a hole in the speaker cover. can still see the back of the speakers the MP3 player i still need to find a better way to route the wires down the cage. also still debating on if i should paint the speakers black or leave them white. |

| Nice!!
What did the total deal cost you? That is what I will probably do, those speakers box are pretty pricey!! Did you buy the MP3-KIT for around $100?? Also, what other material could be used besides what you are using? No sure if I would have a way to cut it.

| am i missing the radio? i use an mp3 player too but it feeds into the hd radio , then to the speakers. if you look to the left center of the second pic, you can see the wire loom i used to feed the wires down to the battery. the two switches, one for the night burners, the other for blue led lights in the speakers! | |

| I not sure how I would mount it to the roll bar on the ranger, the bars are not designed like they are on the rzr. Wonder if if the plastic roof would support it? | |

| I made my own console on the ranger and used L shaped brackets to mount it. I basically, just wedged it up in there and put the L brackets on, then I have a metal roof and when I bolted my metal roof back on, the console doesn't move at all. Its fits snug like a glove. I will post some pics of it tomorrow! | |

| Dave_dj1, most of us are not using head units and just running MP3's into the amp. The head units never seem to hold up long to all the mud and water so we just cut them out of the picture. Besides in WV you couldn't keep a station tuned in for very long LOL. | |

| ah, i see what you are saying about the mud and water. I avoid that stuff! LOL we don't have much better radio reception here either that's why i got the mp3 player. Maybe i should yank it out and put it in the jeep and just buy an amp.
I think i picked up the red wire loom at wally world.

Good job Bush--I have the same system in mine. Just get you some wire loom at Walmart or Advance & hide your wire down the roll cage.
