| ok my question is whats the length diffrence between the stock rzr s shocks, and the stock xp shocks?
friend found some stock XP shocks pretty cheap, and is currious if they will work on his rzr S.
im thinking the XP's are longer. but cant find the exact info.

| No, XP shocks will not work on an "S". However with a little welding and fabrication ,it can be done. I got a friend of mine who put a SuperATV "S" kit on his 50" RZR and got some XP Fox shocks off of Ebay and he had to do some welding and minor fabrication with the shock mounts to get it to work. Let me tell you it rides and handles like a dream and it has well over 13 to 14" of clearance. | |

| so if length is the main diffrence, why couldnt ya use the xp shocks and get a small lift out of it as well? | |

| ok heres some info we found on the other rzr site.
The shocks of a Xp are as listed below. Front: Ext. 22 3/4" Comp. 15" Stroke 7 3/4"
Rear: Ext. 23" Comp. 16" Stroke 7"
anybody know the specs on the stock rzr s shocks??

| honestly, heres the thought.
if the xp's are 2" longer, why couldnt ya use them on a rzr S and get some lift out of it, plus a better shock than the stock S's
i dont see why they wouldnt bolt on the same. just cant find the specs on the stock rzr S shocks

i dont see why they wouldnt bolt on the same. just cant find the specs on the stock rzr S shocks 2" could give you some serious CV binding over what you have on a standard S

| looks like the front are longer and more stroke.
the rears are longer but have LESS stroke?? that doesnt seem right.
im guessing that the mounting location on the xp with the rear trailing arms is a shorter distance

| Just looking at the dimensions, it appears the XP shocks are too long to ever bolt up to the "S" A arms. A way to tell is to disconnect the bottom of the "S" shock (on jack stands) and measure the mounting point distance at full droop. If it's close you can make a lower shock mount adapter to compensate for the added length like JBS has done with the LT450/Std RZR application. | |

| XP shocks will not work on a S period. A friend mine has already tried it. he had to weld and fabricate a mounting bracket on the front near the upper part of the radiator and he had to relocate and make his mounting brackets for the rear. The end results are awesome. It rides and handles like a dream. And the ground clearance is insane. | |
