| was lookin for input on rzr vs rzrs on trail riding. ive been looking to updat out of my sportsman 500 to a rzr. was wondering if the 10 inch wider stance effect trail riding some of my fellows riders say go with the rzr save a few bucks but im leaning toward the rzrs i have done alot of trail riding and yes it gets narrow just dont know if 10 inches would make it hard to get around. well thanks for any input and hope to have one in the trails buy yrs end | |

| I went with the S but if you do be sure to get the LE, the extra money is well spent on the shocks! | |

| I had a 2011 RZR and now have a 2012 RZR S. I spent a lot of money on lifting the RZR plus suspension work that the S has at an overall savings. The S means I can't ride Ohio parkland but don't care WV is sooooooooooooo much better riding and haven't found anything that the extra width caused an issue where the club rides. Get a winch which ever you buy, never know when a Can Am will need a helping hand. Lol. | |

| Depends upon where you want to ride. If you ride in places that restrict the width then an RZR might be your choice. If not then your wallet can decide which machine to buy. | |

| Why does Ohio restrict width anyways? Where do they restrict it at? |

| I vote "s" I bought the base model rzr and since buying it I have added a clutch kit to give it more low end but also I have added an "s" long travel kit. Along with fender flares from an s. Along with a lift kit..basically I have an s now minus the shocks(which I am looking for now) and the few extra horse power......basically I regret not buying the s model in the 1st place.... | |

| Given the money I would go with the S model , But I have a LE and I go everywhere these guys do , So not having a S does not mean you can not go , It just means you do it a little better , little faster . | |

| RZR S -- the extra width gives a better stability. The Fox shocks gives a better ride. | |

Ohio, PA and other states allow riding on state trails once you buy their permit (so what like Hatfield & McCoy trails). They have a width restriction of 50" and if memory serves me correctly PA also a 1000 lbs weight restriction on certain trails. | |
