| ok i bought a set of fox podium shocks used today..for some reason the guy had the adjustment screw turned all the way to the right anyone have any idea on how i am supposed to adjust these shocks and also the two nuts that adjust the spring tension how far up or down they should be..sorry i aint too familiar with shock terminalogy...basically i am asking front and rear how they should be set up..also is the top mount location on an s the same as the base rzr?? with my superatv lift bracket at the top of the shocks it is almost like it is too far down and at full droop apears as if it would bind....just trying to figure out the proper way to adjust these things...
thanks

| taking my stock shocks and the super atv bracket off i lost a lot of my ground clearance by puttin the fox shocks on and i am thinking it is due to poor adjustment... | |

| The Superatv bracket I had so that I could use my stock shocks is one piece in the front and bolts across the top shock mounts tying them together. It has too possible holes tolling your shocks in one for a Lil but of lift and one for more loft. It just straightens the top of your shocks out more so they are more straight up and down well on the outside hole it os def. Too much the cs's will bind. The inside hole I can't even try to bt up to becuz the resivore on the top of the shock hits part of the bracket. I would have to cut a few inches off of the lift bracket to use the inside hole. If it still bonds a ruined the bracket. I just ain't happy with the height of the fox shocks with no lift.. | |

| There's a diagram on here somewhere of the adjustability of the shocks |

| set the rears qt 5 3/4 " from tom thread to top of the nut and the adj. screew turn it all the way to the left on go back in 1/2 turn for a cushy ride and I cant remember what the measurement is on the front a good basic start is run it down till you just start to preload the spring then go about 3 rounds on down on the pre load of the spring the little adjustment screw is the same on all four corners . to stiffen the ride turn it in 1/2 turn at a time . hope this helps ! | |

Yes, counter clockwise softens the shock letting more fluid into the resi. There is 20 settings on them, but they are very hard to feel as you turn the screw. I think I have mine at 7 clicks down from the stiffest setting. The preload on the springs is everything when it comes to the height and the ride. It is very touchy. Just a 1/2" of preload adjustment makes a huge change. I could do some measurements on mine when I get home thursday, but because you have different mounting locations, it most likely won't be what you are after. But, it would be a good place to start. I can tell you that you will drive yourself nuts trying to get it just right, but once you do, you will love it. | |

| 09rzr here are my measurements from the top if the shocks right where the threads start, to the top of the udjusting nuts above the springs: Front is 3 5/8" Rear is 4 7/8" The upper shock mount looks to be in the same location as a rzr. The bottom shock mount is 6" center of the hole to the center of the top most part of the ball joint. Yours should be the same since it is polaris control arms, but I figured you could check it anyway. Set your shock valveing at about the middle like Porkchop said, get your springs right, then adjust the shocks a few clicks to fine tune the ride. I have my springs set as soft as I can without bottoming hard while driving like an idiot. I weigh 185 and ride by myself 50% of the time, weight makes a difference. | |

| those measurement are probalbly etter for you because I have the makin trax progressive springs on mine . I have been told that on the shock dyno the is not much difference in the valve adjustments . but I have found that the adjustment backed all the way out then ran in 1/2 turn works good for me ! | |
