Well here is the first video on the difference between the two. Looks like the xp has a hard time on this test....

This one may have been posted in the past. It has a really good part on testing the commander, xp, and the wildcat. Only problem is once again they didnt use an x with fox shocks and I believe both the xp and commander could of made it up the hill, Arctic Cat just told the dude to turn off and make the wildcat look good.

Cool videos. Thanks T-Bone. I'm with you - the commander and especially the XP could have made it up that hill. The guy in the XP just turned the wheel and started going back down the hill for no apparent reason. What cracks me up is when they refer to the XP as having "only" 14 inches of travel - how far these machines have come!
Bias in the videos aside, the Wildcat does look like one formidable ride. I just wonder how reliable it will turn out to be.

in the first video it looked like the xp driver was going slower, as well as sounded like he was on and off the throttle.
id like to see a truly unbiased test of all the machines.

I'm glad the manufactures are dumping hugh amounts of money into their SxS's to make them lighter, stronger, and faster, it reminds me of the high performance quad wars of the late 80's and early 90's. Personally I think the front of the Cat is FUGLY as hell, but I love the suspension setup and that big 'ol V-twin motor. The downside is that over the years I have seen a TON of Arctic Cats towed out of the woods with driveline failures. The CVT setup and the axle/CV joints have traditionally been the weak links in any Arctic Cat quad or SxS. I really hope that they have done their homework and produced a quality product that can take some abuse....only time will tell.

Beg to differ Bubba. The boys out west are complaining that it's underpowered and dosn't compete in the sand.

The wildcat has a more fancy suspension but that's it.
Just FYI. The wildcat and the xp are not advertised as a trail machine. They are dune runners. For Pooplaris the trail machine on the line up is the rzr s and regular rzr for under 50 law

Tbone ur hard on the rzr n xp. Anything can run if u throw enough money at it, even the commander. If u soup up a club car or ez-go you've just made competition for the commander, rhino, tyrex, big red. Come on now if popos r so bad why r u so hard on us popo riders, we just like throwing money away, n n why r thinking about buying a other rzr? Rzr envy got u? Boys on rzr's have more fun!!! Lol

Oh super rzrs are awesome. There ok. I like them and I like the can am as well. There's alot of heat on the can ams here for some odd reason yet to be seen.
I think the Polaris brand is a great brand. They are innovating and build a good product. I have seen Polaris over the years and have had a bunch of bad luck and also seen tons of bad luck. After buying my rzr I have seen for years that Polaris has gotten way better. I love the rzr and commander in the side by side world. The xp looks like fun and I want to get me one. Rzrs are awesome! I sure do love mine! I do own both and you can see though the can am fit and finish is better. Right now I will have to say Polaris is leading the industry. They build a good product and are building good machines. I wonder what this wildcat is going to do. I wonder how much a piece of the pie they will get.

When in doubt floor it the commander n xp ride better than in the vids, they picked the worst speed so they would handle that way. Also they only show the cat turning in sand. Want to see them on a trail high speed turning bet there is more body roll than they r willing to show. Might be wrong but not impressed with anything other than an rzr with mods!!!!

Tbone ur being to nice, u know I'm giving n gonna give u crap about can am. If I had a commander I'd engine mod, long travel, snorkel, etc, I'd make it trouble for all brands,,,, the way I'm building my sleeper. It takes money to makem run n make almost bullet proof, I can tear anything up, that's why I'm trying new n different things to improve mine.

I think that cat is for the sand fleas. Those guys spend tons of money and can't get enough. That's where Polaris and arctic cat are going to make more money.
It may do well on the trails. Heck I dunno. I wonder who will be the first to buy one?

Well truth be told super Dave I am real impressed with the new 900 motor. This new 570 motor is impressive too. James told me he can make that 570 fly so he is going to buy one and bust my tail! Lol
