| I DIDN'T CHECK THE DEPTH OF A MUD HOLE AT THE WAGON WHEEL,NEEDLESS TO SAY I SWAMPED IT. I DRAINED THE OIL, INTAKE AND BELT HOUSING. IT RAN FINE FOR AWHILE THEN IT WOULD SPUTTER WHEN GIVING IT ALOT OF GAS ONLY TO GET WORSE THE MORE I RODE IT. NOW IT IS HARD TO START,SPUTTERS AND HAS DECREASED POWER. I THOUGHT MAYBE WATER ENTERED THE GAS TANK SO I DRAINED IT AND PUT NEW IN,STILL THE SAME. I ALSO REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS. I DID NOT REMOVE THE GAS TANK ONLY PUMPED OLD GAS OUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRRICIATED. | |

| I had the same thing happen to my Sportsman , belive it or not it was sand in the gas tank and line leading to the fuel filter ( LOTS of it ) . See if you can put someting in the tank and scrape the bottom and see if there is anything in there , if so then it has you line and filter also . Don't keep running it , it can work its way to a injector . | |

| I pulled the tank this weekend, fuel pump was full of dirt. I cleaned it out and will put it back together this week and try it. | |

| check the incomming line and replace the fuel filter if it was in the pump . Sounds like you have a leaking gas cap or your Vent line is down low . When your motor is at low speeds the vent line serges back and forth and this makes a vacum that draws the muddy water/sand up . Reroute your vent line up higher and check you gas cap for Cracks . | |

| Finally got my RZR back on the trail ,It turned out to be the fuel pump. Can't order just the pump I had to replace entire tank. I have snorkeled it and raised the vent lines higher. That was an expensive mudhole. If you are running in mud I recommend you snorkel yours also. | |

| i read some where (i think on the prcforum) that someone had a pump go out and they found an aftermarket or an auto pump that would work with the rzr. i will see if i can find it again. |

| Yea the pump, filter and regulator are all one unit in the tank along with the fuel float for the gauge. I had it checked and it only was pumping 27 lb. it should be around 39 lb.so when I gave it gas it would sputter. I kept the old tank so one of these days if I find a seperate pump, I may fix and sell to recoup some of my $480.00 | |
