| That's government motors for ya. 7 million on worthless advertising. Why don't they keep that money and lower the truck prices?
Ford is the best truck out there. Owned them all and none held up as well as the ford. Ford has really stood up and made some great changes. Their lineup now is so awesome. Plus they didn't take any bailout money. They told Obama no thank u. Jen likes the tahoes and suburbans so she is getting a Tahoe. Those things are nice. I do like the gm suv's and of course the camaro and corvette. Nothing showes american pride more than a vette! When it comes to pickup trucks ford can not be beat. This shows chevy is desperate. Our company has run them all and the only truck that holds up, lasts, is powerful, and tough as nails is the fords. Plus they are really fancy. |

| Also if u want to get the best out there then get a Toyota tocoma. Above I was talking about the full size line up. I think the Tacoma in my opinion the by far the best small pickup out there. They can't haul what we need them to haul so we buy full size. If we didn't then Toyota would be it |

| Tbone must be drinking the Ford Kool-Aid pretty hard. I know on the RV forums (yes where people pull big stuff) the Ford Diesels seem to be laying a big turd. The crappy 6.ohhh, the almaost as bad 6.4 and now the 6.7 Scorpion is having some huge $$$ repairs. I'll admit that Ford does make a "Pretty" truck. Too bad Pretty is not the same as Tough.... | |

| We had no problems out of our 6.0's and I think we dodged a bullett. I'll admit that. The 6.7 is awesome. Not a single issue. In use now. We never had a 6.4. We just kept running our 6.0's.
That's the deal so far. I know dad and I are extremely pleased with our fords. Our family are Chevy people. When I conned dad into buying that 99 f350 Is when it all changed.
He is a Chevy man but he will tell anyone that when it comes to a truck you can't beat the fords.

| I can tell you first hand about the 6.0's.....what a piece of crap....I had an 04 that I bought new (friends talked me into it) and it stayed in the shop more that I drove it. All serious issues....Traded that turd in on my CHEVY that I have now....4 years and the only thing I have spent money on is oil changes and gas. I LOVE my Chevy products...always have and always will....Now I agree that the government should have stayed out and let them figure out how to stay in business but it's done and over with....sooooo my next auto purchase will be a CHEVY product.......by the way.....T-bone...you better hang on to that woman....she's pretty and SMART.

| Well I will give it to ray ray. The 03 04 6.0's were junk. They were rushed to production without testing because the duramax scared them. We didnt get any 6.0's til 05 and I think thats how we had success out of them. Chevy has gotten a ton better over the past 10 years. Today they arent really that bad. The 5.3 engine and thr 6.0 are one of the most reliable motors on the road. I have noticed that the chevy lineup has done better and come a long ways since we had 97-99's. Out of the chevys we had a tranny go bad on one and the other had a problem towing. It could not stop a trailer AT ALL. Everytime we went to stop the front ABS would come on and the frint would start dancing. On the Dodge trannys would fail around 80,000 miles. Also some body durability issues. Today though I really like that new interior of the Dodge. I considered one with a cummins not long ago but it just rode too rough. It was a 3500 DRW. Maybe next year we will try them again. We have had tons of success out of our Fords. I honestly think though that they have ALL come a long ways within the past 5 years. Today I believe its whatever preference you want to have. For what nomal people do they are all ok. When we get a truck we work it extremly hard.....overloading them sometimes. Since we have had so much success with the Ford lineup, that is what we prefere. Its just logical for us. Within the past 5 to 7 years there aint a thing wrong with any of them. Them new dodges are super nice inside with great new motors and the Chevys as well.

| Tbone, if you ever get out of the gas business, I'm sure you would have no problem selling new Ford trucks.
As for all the new diesels, Obama will make sure they are junk with all the new emissions crap. Toyota give up on the HD Tundra because they couldn't build a diesel that they felt would make it several hundred thousand miles like a diesel should with all this emissions junk that our gov. has put on them.
They want us all to ride electric Rangers, and tow them with a Chevy Volt.

Whats wrong with the 6.7 ? The only thing I've heard is a few minor electrical glitches. I've talked to right many people who own em and absolutely love em. Give Ford credit, at least they are trying to make their own engine/tranny combo. Everything I've read and heard on em is nothing but great. Yeah 6.0s and some 6.4s were crap.

| The 6.7's are having fuel issues. In particular the High Pressure Fuel Pump is crazy sensitive. Any water at all causes major problems that bombs the motors. Ford is denying the claims. It's crazy that a replacement motor is $15k to $20k....

| I will say....that water thing I saw on the ford trucks forum. Just a couple people had the problem out of thousands and thousands of trucks.
When I changed the fuel filter on my 6.7 there is a deep bowl under it. It has a ton of preventative against water. Alot better than the 6.0.
It would have to be a crap ton of water to get to that fuel system. Any truck would fail with that much water. Either way I have had no problems and a bunch of my friends have the 6.7 and no issues. |

| Take it all with a grain of salt but if you go on the Ford forum Rick (Ricatic user name) was a die-hard of a Ford fan as there ever was. Ford literally screwed him over the HPFP. They have done it to several others also. IMO Ford has learned that if they say "denied for water" on the repair then the owners comprehensive insurance will pay for the repair. Ford's looking for an out... There are users mentioning a water in fuel warning. It is my understanding the the owners manual now says to drain the fuel seperator monthly on the 6.7. Seems excessive -- if it is that sensitive ford needs a bigger and better seperator.
Just my $.02. Ford got really good on warranty denial tactics on the 6.0 and 6.4 and seems to still be able to make up some good excuses.
I'm just not a fan of any Ford Diesel after the 7.3L. I do think Ford makes some good dependable gassers -- especially the V10...
