Pictures

Can someone give me a block or two of instruction on posting pictures and video.I read thru the faq and didnt see anything unless i just missed it.Ive been on other forums but just never took the time to try it,but seeing how this is MY new favorite forum for good..i think its time to learn.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks :77:

You just move your mouse on the little icons above the box you type in you and they say what they are for.Find the one that says Host an image and click on it if you want to add a picture you have stored on your computer.Find the icon that says Image to add a picture if you have some on photobucket etc and click that icon and add the img link from photbucket you copied for that picture.For videos you click on the icon that says video and then for example for youtube videos you enter the embed link that shows up on the right site when you are playing a video and it will appear like the ones I posted this morning.You also can just copy and past a link from a picture or video for people to click on to open & view.I hope this helps you just don't be to try we all make mistakes that's the way we learn from trial and error lord knows I make plenty of error's :lol:

I'm not havin any luck posting pics either.

click on the Host an image box and then click browse and find a picture you have saved on your computer and click it that should do it.

I hate to sound dumb ,but where is this host image box your speaking of?

Look in the text box that you use to post. There are several small boxes above it, the first one is a 'B', the next an 'I'........go to the 6th one and it will say "host an image" when you put your mouse over it. Click it then click browse and find the image on your computer

I did that, another box pops up but I can't seem to find how to close that box, also theres 3 choices in the box, if I'm takin it off my putor...which one do I pick?

Just click host it

Bobby I think it might be different for you since you have admin rights. I tried it today and got the same kinda thing

Ok the easiest way is to go to www.photobucket.com and get a free account and load the picture you want and then copy the img link and just paste the link and it will show up on here.

Ther is definitely something mucked up on this picture thing.When i click the host it button and i browse and pick the image off computer i then open it in order for it to transfer over to the image box,it will upload and then give me 3 different choices with the word copy at the end of each choice.I have tried each of those choices with no luck.But once i make a choice the only other option that box gives me is below those 3 choices which is upload again and once i click on that everything just disappears!WTF??I dunno

Maybe I'm about to show how really dumb I am about computers. But I didn't think you could post pics to this site right off your computer. I thought the pics had to already be hosted somewhere on the web?? I just took the link you posted to that pic of the dodge and went there to see the pic. Once the pic opened, I right clicked it, selected properties, copyed that, and then pasted the address in the slot on the image box at the top of this reply page. It's the one that looks like a little landscape pic in a frame, scond from the right. Nothing to it, clear as mud, right?

Oh..o.k. well that changes things.I thought that it possibly could be done w/out the pics being posted somewhere else.Guess not.I dont have an account anywhere to do that yet.Seems like there ought to be some way to do it tho...perhaps not.
