Took the words right out of my mouth. I have a 2009 RZR and just bought a new XP. The RZR is a toy in comparison.

| I had a 800 LE, then an 800 S & now have an 900 XP. XP is no comparison.
Power is awsome --Sure glad I went to the 900 now & love every bit of it. I didn't have any issues with my older machine, but glad I have the 900 now.

| no one seems to have trouble wid the extra width of the xp do they? i thought about just putting a turbo on my 800 but thats still 4k and its only 85hp..the 900 has that factory..and then i would still need another 4k for a long travel..better off selling my 800 and putting the 8k i would spend to make my 800 comparable to the 900 and just by the xp.. | |

| Well the width is a little bit of an issue but not much. Every once in a while u have to make a new trail. |

| If you are buying new, go all out and get the 900. The ground clearance is much better than the S, it's only 3.5" wider, and the power is unbelievable compared to the 800. Don't think of it as only 100 more ccs, it's a whole different animal. The clutching is amazing on the XP also. I really like my S, but I should have never rode a XP. I may have one in about 5 years. | |

| Don't worry about the extra width. The extra long travel will help you much more than hurt you. Off cambers and deep ruts the XP will go through with no complaints where the reg 800 or the S will flop over on their side. Oh yea, the power will give you lots of smiles per mile. I have about 500 miles on mine now, no complaints other than the crappy tires that came on it (ITP XCT) 500 miles and they are almost wore out. I am looking at replaceing them. Thunter got the Pit Bull Rockers and I like them alot. | |

If it can stay out of the shop. IMO I think the commander is a better bang for the buck these days but between the 800 and 900 then I would say 900 |

| The extra width will help you alot more than it will ever hurt. I was afraid of the same thing but it's not been a problem yet. | |

| the xp is only 4 inches wider. we havent had any real issues with it following our rzr s's.
the power is amazing!!!!! BUT theres sevral down sides if you are riding in the mud and trails etc.
the new transmision has a chain for reverse. they break easy. like simply backing out of a deep mud hole or pulling some one out.
the xp isnt meant to run in mud and water. the stock air boxes SUCK!!!!!
first thing needed is a snorkel kit, and you ABSOLUTELY have to modify the stock air boxes. they have little rubber nipples to ''drain'' the water out of the air box low points.
problem is if your on the throttle in a water or mud hole, the motor and belt intake WILL i repeat WILL suck water and mud in and fill the air box and into the motor.
ASK me how i know. got lucky the first time, added the air raid snorkle kit. second time the little drains killed it.
personally i would love to have the xp power in my rzr s chassis
