5-12-2012 Ride Pics

It was myself,Rick S & martywalker today we rode 95 miles and had a great time.We rode from Matoaka into Bramwell and ate a buffet at the Bramwell Cafe and while we was in Bramwell myself & Rick S got our H/M permit so we rode trails all the way back through the woods to Ashland Resort and rode through there to see who we could see.Got on Indian Ridge out of campground and rode up towards Hilltop and back down to the stair steps and down back through the creeks to the train tracks and back to Matoaka.I had a couple of mishaps today I ran up on a stump that I did not see and could not get off of it so all 3 of us shoved it off I also got stuck and had to be pulled out of a hole

OH yea we rode some new trails from Matoaka none of us had ever been on and went down one that I did not think myself and Rick S was going to get back up.Marty stayed back and watched us it was real steep and there was no way to the bottom just a big drop off and it was to steep to turn around and head back up so we had to back up all the way back up the hill

Bobby did they get the Trail #'s posted on the brown post yet? Last week they had put up hundreds of post with out any #'s on them and had several post on dead end trails like they got carried away putting them up.

Some had numbers but I don't pay attention to them they just confuse me because I'm use to them not being marked and know which way to go if I just don't look at the markers

Yea I'm the same way as the numbers are always at the wrong places it seems like and I too do better just turning when it looks right. Great picks by the way!

Does the cafe always have a buffet, that's the one in the middle of the block right! We tried out the Soda Shoppe on the end of the block right past the Cafe and it had some great Sandwiches and Milkshakes too! Had a lot of little pieces for the ladies to check out too.
I think they are getting ready for the crowds to start visiting it great to see Bramwell finally welcome ATV'ers to town rather then trying to write tickets like they used to.

The Cafe has better food in my opinion than the other place on the corner and better prices.I have ate at the Cafe 3 or 4 times now and it's always good.The other place I ate at once and think it is over priced

They only do a buffet when there is an event going on in town from what they told me.Yesterday there was a lot of people in town for Historical tours of the homes in town.We could not even get a parking space on the street so we parked behind the restaurant.

The Cafe also has rooms to rent out upstairs and I got the info I will add to the other places to stay.
