| I was reading over at the rzr forum where they say it's easy to mis align the air filter lid when replacing the filter or just checking the filter.
I don't see how it's easy to mis align it. I took it off the other day to check behind the filter to make sure it's clean at the intake and it was spotless so I put the lid back on.
I read that article on how it looks like its on but not so now I'm scared that it isn't sealed.
Do any of you guys with XP's have that problem? What can you do to guarantee its sealed? |

| when I twist off the knobs that hold the air box on I try to just get them loose enough to barely clear the latch. That way when i put the air box back on if the knobs are to far away or dont just slide over the hold downs I know that it's not in the right place. So far thats my only way to tell. | |

| On the 800 folks spread wheel bearing grease around the inside to catch dust and also around the lid seal surface to keep water and dust out. | |

| Yep, make sure you grease the foam lip of the filter to make sure it seals the edges. I think the biggest thing is don't get in a hurry closing the air box. Make sure to examine it closely and the gap all the way around the box. Look from underneath too. | |

| well you can see the blue seal in two spots on top of the housing when you close it.
After seeing this is has me paranoid. I opened it last week to do a checkup and it was clean as all. I just put it back on and went back about my business not knowing it was easy to have it on wrong. I still dont know how you could have it on wrong. |

| I think it can get into a bind pretty easy. You know when you've got it seated properly. | |
