I just watched Dirt Trax Tv show and they had a Wildcat vs XP 900 shoot out and they picked the Wildcat over the XP 900

They would be the first ones. Dirt wheels said no way to the wild cat.

Well I'll cool it on the wildcat.

I haven't ridden one yet so I cannot make that call yet. I hope to get a chance to ride one soon. Just looking at though I see a few cons against it.

Time will tell.

I hear ya Andy!!! Come on and get u some! That XP will but that azz! I may just buy another machine and get a Wildcat just to try. I just dont think it fits my needs though.

Saw the show myself last night --- they did show some good points

Was out to fairplans there 2 wildcats used setting out there. Did not ask about them. Great concept would be afraid of arctic cats track record but I like them.

Well said. I have ridden for 25 years and the last 10 of those I have seen many, many Arctic Cats getting towed out of the woods. Not just quads either, the 700, and 1000 Prowler have problems too. They make a great motor, the rest of the drive line leaves alot to be desired.
With that being said, I have never ridden in the new Wild Cat. Looks to be a great machine for the dunes, probably too big for some of the tight places we ride up here in Ohio.

The XP would be alot faster, but the ride says it all. I have owned 5 new Arctic cats and have had great luck with them. I have not had any more trouble with mine than any other brands my buddies have had. I would say I have had less trouble.

Facts show that the arctic cat quality has not been there for many years. I have seen tons broke down. I do not trust them at all.

Now with that being said, arctic cat could of stepped up quality with the wildcat. It def could have happened. So far the wildcat seems to be doing good. It ain't got no power but other than that it's ok.
I want to give the wildcat time and see how it does with some members that put 2000 miles on it and have no problems. If it does that good then it will change my thoughts on arctic cat. If the wildcat holds up and changes their perception of quality then I may buy one and give it a try. It looks cool and the wildcat has the potential to soar above the rest. Time will tell.

I will have to agree with Tbone for once.

Well, all but the broke down cats. I have seen a couple with issues, but they were the 1st gen of quads they built when they 1st got into atvs. I think the newer ones must be alot better. Hell, even a Honda will lay down once in a while.

I can tell you now. If I could afford one, and it had proven itself for a couple thousand miles, I would have a Wildcat. I'm not much on the wheelbase being a 2 seater, but I guess that's a big part of the smooth ride.
