| There is a group of us heading down that way the first weekend in November. 2 sxs and 4 atvs. We have ridden many places but never hatfield mccoy. Are usual trip is to evarts ky. Anyway I am looking for recommendations as to were to stay. From what I heard atvresort is the go to place, but they are booked. Wild Willey we would have to get 2 cabins for 6 people and that would cost us around 240 a night. So any recommendations.
Thanks for any help. | |

- Check with Hillbilly House in Crumpler which is just up the road about 2 to 3 miles from Ashland Resort it is $25.00 per person. It is nothing fancy but I have stayed there twice and like it for the price much better than any cabin because you have more room.Only room for 2 trucks and trailers but more parking beside owners house on the road which is just next door. Also Dales rentals has a nice mobile home beside it for rent for and another one close by.
If you make it down post a new thread to update where you are staying and the days you will be there again as I'm sure some members here will be there and can show you some outlaw trails you would never find.
I was interested in the Hillbilly House but its not going to sleep enough for us as we now have 7 guys going. How can I check on or get more info on Dales rentals? I'm interested in those. And I've contacted Mountain Top. What is mountain tops unit like, anyone know. thanks

| I wouldn't take my wife to Mountaintop. Did that once and had to leave. With a bunch of guys I guess it would be alright. Pennacle Creek campground is right in the heart of it. | |

Can I ask why you had to leave? Also I thought Pinnacle Creek was at one of the far ends of the 3 trail systems.

| Filthy, dirty, full of wasp, ladybugs all over, etc. Sheets look used, etc. But for a bunch of guys, who gives a shit. There where other cabins there that may have been cleaner. From the above locations you will be near the Indian Ridge trail system. From Indian Ridge you can take connector 27 to Pinnacle creek and connector 15 to Pocahontas. Plus outlaw trails all around. Don't do the outlaw trails unless you find someone to guide you around. Just ask around. Some one may take you out. Plenty of riding on H/M... If you do Pocahontas try out trail 85. None of the above requires trailering. | |

| Just so you know. Pinnacle creek camp ground is not on the H/M Pinnacle creek trail. It's near Indian Ridge. | |

You don't have to worry about trailering up there, you can ride on the roads.

We're looking forward to riding down there for the first time.
Now one other quick question. What is the deal with helmet use on SxSs?
