| Guys,
I wanted to start a thread about everyone's favorite trails or most challanging trails in WV. Hatfield McCoy, Outlaw Trails, Burning Rock, etc... I'm always looking for somewhere different to ride...
List what you like and why... be as descriptive as possible! Now grant it. Some of us all may have different names or may call certain trails by different names lol...
Me, I like both high speed trails and extremely difficult trails.
-One of my favorites for high speed riding is the trail to Charlie Reed Junction/6 mile ridge from Burke Mtn to Welch.
-This weekend up at Burning Rock trail 20 rocked for some speed we were hitting 50 to 55 mph for long periods of time. Even had some SXS love taps going on!
-Trails 41 at BR was a good high speed trail too!
-On the challanging side of things I love the trail coming from Soggy Bottem up towards Hill Top Escape through the rutted out section.
-This past weekend at Burning Rock. I loved trail 94 and trail 75. They were both fun and had a little bit of challenge to them!
-Barkers Creek is a fun trail with a little bit of challenge.
Anyway, I'm just throwing some trails out there that I like. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else likes and why!

Simoniz is talking about actual trails......not obstacles in the parking lot. |

| Trail 82 in the Indian Ridge has not beem maintained. Great trail since it's 500ft of deep ruts and then a big rock to go around on off-camber. That was in August. It may have been graded now.
Trail 95 in Pinnacle creek -- great trail to go up. Ignore the warning signs --it's not that bad.
There are many on the Outlaw trails but I can never remember them all. There's several on the way to Beckley that really are good. One requires crossing a small creek then is 1400 ft of big rocks with steep uphill til it narrows into a small trail in the woods that dumps onto the road after a tight turn. Nice but only got to do it once.
Wish I could remember all of the crazy stuff. I have definitely learned that just because there is a gas line doesn't make it a trail! | |

| Awesome Randy! I believe I know the area you are talking about on the way to Beckley. We road it this weekend I believe. If it is the same area it dumps you out to both Coal City and to the big tunnel you still can go through. | |

| I can do it all. My main thing is I better use 4wd a few times before the day is out, or I'm not completely satisfied. As for a favorite trail area, I really can't name one. I really do like 5 points, and the Mt Hope/Sophia area the best, maybe because I haven't rode them very much. I like any trails that are new to me. | |

| i like to go ride some new stuff actually if i can find time to ride i will ride anything LOL i just like seat time. in my limited experience i like the few trails here around the house that we can get too, just they are not that long and you gotta do a lot of gravel riding to get there several huge mudholes to play in. some that i wont even think of trying. OL jimbob does a good job leading out around richie mines and bear run. it has a good mix of everything. went one time with ricklilly and HRR in the sophia area and ended up over on barkers creek and made a huge loop. got lost on the way back with finzup and was hauling the mail on those railroad grades that was a blast (it was our maiden voyage LOL) heck of a way to break it in. i would like to have had the chance to go to bergoo. | |

| Let me know when you want to go to Bergoo. I may be up for a ride. So far that is my favorite. Of course I've never been to Wallace, Ritchie, Hatfield, or the outlaws, so I don't have much to compare to. Bergoo has everything I would ever want. | |

| High speed contour strips 3 to 4 lanes wide. Some difficult rocky areas and creek beds. And most of all anywhere you don't have to pay to play like the fifty thousand acres in the back yard well three miles from the back yard. | |
