| Sat.. or Sunday????? where???? i know its in the wagon wheel thread... I dont care where we ride.. i like going by the stairsteps and seeing the crazy people!!! is teh starlight diner still open? we use to ride over to it and eat then back to where ever we were parked. | |

Sat only for me I will be watching Football on Sunday.From Matoaka we can ride to any place we would want to go. | |

If so I would need some more specific directions to the parking area.
Wife and I are RN's and she isn't scheduled to work Saturday.
I would have to confirm with the boss(wife) to make sure but she loves road trips as much as I do.
Have offroaded just about everywhere in the state, and have always heard about the wagon wheel but never got a chance to ride down there. I've surveyed down there years ago but it's been a while. | |

| Matoaka is easy to find... All you do is take Exit 9 (princeton exit) off I77 after the second tunnel if coming from NC then turn left and take RT460 about 2.3 miles past the Strip site entrance.. at the red light, Jennings RV's is on your left, turn right here. Go straight through the next light past the CVS and follow rd to Grants Supermarket then turn right at that stop sign.. then make next left that puts you on RT19 just follow 19 until you see turn off for RT10 Matoaka (a left turn) and RT10 takes you there where we park. behind the vol. fire dept.. you can park all along the road and around the red caboose.
I edited the directions to make it a little easier!!
we will probably be at the hardees right after you get off the exit around 745-8..
I am a newbie also and had a blast last sat.

You can go into Welch and eat at Sterling Drive In or KFC,Subway or McDonald's or just stay around the Wagon Wheel and eat at Riders Paradise. | |
