| Ok , I need to lower the rear of the Ranger just to enter and leave the Trailer . I have clearence till the last 5" of the Roll bar , and on the way out same deal . I plan to take a turn off the rear suspension , but open to suggestion on how to lower this thing . I am looking for something simple and easy to do for when it is dirty . I tryed a Big ole rock this past weekend and did not make enough differnce . | |

| I'm getting some ATV wheels bored to the correct bolt pattern and putting lawn mower tires on them. Mine would fit into my trailer before I put the extended cage on. Now I have added a 2.5" lift kit so the lawnmower tires will have to do for me. I used to drop the air on my tires almost completely and still add weight to the rear. Thats more work than swapping the tires. | |

| I've heard of some guys using a rachet stap to compress the suspension until you get it in the trailer. Hook it to the arms and then to the bed/frame then you can release it when you get it in. Just a thought, but it depends how much you need to gwet it through the door. | |

| Why not chop the cage a few inches? | |

| You could do like KRKid said and put a ratchet strap on the A'arm, and on the roll bar and pull it tight, it should lower it several inches. You will have to route it behind the bed so your wheels will turn. | |

| Bag of concrete in the bed. -or- Ratchet strap the suspension. I would go with the ratchet straps |

| The only reason I don't do that (ratchat) is because I store my in the trailer alot and I don't want to have constant tension on my springs. | |

| I plan to store mine there too , but I have room once it is in . I did think of using rachet straps , but trying to remember its going to be nasty at somepoint , even when I'm not . One thought was to use a Eye bolt thru the bed or one of the lock and ride holes use that to anckor too and it can stay there all the time . Another thought was a straight piece of steel across the hitch push down and kick it foward under the arms ( I have a old adjustble hitch ) . I have thouht instead of rachet straps using chain dogs , one pull and its done . Keep the idea comming cause it is helping guys . I like the lawn mower tire idea Mark , may have to see if I can get the other rear rim off Steve ? | |

Mark, could you undo the ratchets once in trailer? I like the idea of chopping the cage....but not sure how safe it would be then.

I like the idea of chopping the cage....but not sure how safe it would be then. I hit my head on the roll cage inside when sitting down , lowering it is not really a option for me .

| Well , I did think of it but did not try it last time I was taking it out , mostly I'm lazy , just don't feel like putting air in them when I get there , I want to unload and ride ... Maybe my wife will get tired of me talking about a RZR and the height question will be answered . | |

| get a valve core remover and loosen the cores up and the tires will be flat in 30 sec. then carry a portable air tank and fill the tires in a min. seems like the easiest way to lower it if all you need is an inch or 2. |

| Taking the air out the tire worked great , but man the tires sound bad pulling up the ramp , I tried 5 psi each and the tires sounded better , went in great but would still not back out ( rear raises when the toruqe pulls ) . Tried a strap and it works but just have not found a easy place to hook . I will play around and see what I find , there is a simple way I just got to find it . For now my wife drives it in and out , I push down on the tailgate and no hitting , but got to make it so I can do it by myself , may not allways be someone there to help me . | |

| Gary , kinda used your idea but just used a ratchet strap to the shock mount and then to the frame , will just have to remember to disconnnect it before I go riding . | |
