| Broke in my new wildcat with Bobby out of Matoaka this past weekend. I think it had 3 or 4 miles on it when we took off. Definitely a new and better way to ride. Rode Saturday with no problems. Sunday I met up some folks who asked for directions to beer can alley. From there they wanted to go to H/M. So I rode with them through the creek crossings and over to H/M. After about a half hour of running H/M my machine died. Backfired and shut off and I costed to a stop. I got it started but it wouldn't stay running unless it was high rpm. I got directions to the asphalt and hauled ass. The other riders couldn't keep up so I never saw them again. Made it across the mountain to the blue building and that was it for the weekend. Today I unplugged two of the three electrical connections near the oil fill. One had about a half table spoon of sand in it. The other had sand in it but not as bad. Couldn't get the third one apart. Will try again later. The one on the right with the yellow and red wire threw a code PO336, crankshaft sensor. After I got it flushed out and filled with dielectric greese the motor fired up and idled fine. Still love my new kitty... | |

| Groundhog do you think wrapping it with electrical tape stop the stuff from coming in? What's the plan? |

| Don't feel bad. When the Rzr S came out years ago we followed one in Harlan Kentucky that would only run wide open. His was a stuck throttle. It happens... | |

| Gonna leave it like it is. I could silicone it but then it would be hard to get apart. The grease should take care of it. | |

| No, both connectors were tight. Was surprised at the amount of sand that came out. | |

| Do u think it would help to take it back to the dealer and have them put new connectors on it? |

| No, the connectors were tight. They wouldn't bother. If the grease dosn't work then I will silicone it. The sand was probably from the creek crossings. | |

| Something that may be better than silicone is putting "Liquid" electrical tape on it. You can get a can at Walmart. | |

| I would grease it and black tape the crap out of it. Not a bad idea to do it on every machine on the conectors that get submerged or have stuff flying at them from the tires. Black tape fixes everything if you use enough. Keep the pressure washer away from all conectors. Don't even think about blasting the mud off of them. Even a garden hose can shove dirt past the rubber in them, then everything can get right in after that. All of the conectors on the rzr s I had were caked in mud and became almost like concrete. I never once had any trouble. | |

| One other thing I found out that startled me but I'm use to it now. It will start without your foot on the brake and no matter what gear it's in. In other words you can stand outside the machine and reach in and start it while it's in high, low or reverse. You wildcat owners let me know if this is normal. Seems like a safety hazard to me. Thinking maybe the shift linkage needs adjusting or a safety switch is not working. | |

| Just an FYI when I have bought ANY new machine I take the time to look it over and uplug and reconnect all connections that I see and search for then hit them with elec grease and fill it full not just a drop either, the factorys have people working in them just like us folks and they have issues and dont care sometimes and can forget to tighten or tourque and plug things in correctly,so take the time to learn your machine and what makes it tick. also Groundhog you brake pedal adjustment spring under the dash on the drivers side needs to be adjusted proper, problably friday evening shift getting off work to go to a party forgot to perform that task, if you have questions call me. |

| I know Travis at Performance East had the same issues on his black one. They had to spend a few days trying to get it fixed. |

| Try "fusion tape" no adhesive, virtually waterproof leaves no "gunk". To remove you can use a knife, gently slice the tape, pull it off. Its good in moderate heat (not near exhaust) and no mess. Works great and you can get it at Lowes, HD, Amazon, etc. | |

| Mine just had similar electrical issues (P0336 and P0337). Pulled the plugs on the back and they were full of dirt/mud. After I get them cleaned up I will fill them with di-electric grease as well. Will the codes clear themselves or is there so magic the dealer has to do? |
