| It was about 7:30. I was getting ready to head back to the truck., and here come the ambulance and rescue squad. Then the chopper tried landing in the bottom, but pulled up and went to the back side of the mountain. | |

| I drove by the accident site Saturday night. Somebody went off the road and over the hill between the Wagon Wheel and Pinnacle Creek campground. We were headed towards the stairsteps and passed the ATV ambulance, pulling a gurney, on Wagon Wheel road. After close to an hour on top of the stairsteps, an EMS vehicle pulled up and cleared everybody off, in case the chooper wanted to land there, he decided against it. As the other poster said, it finally tried to put down down in the valley at the bottom of the steps, towards that trailer, but the dust was crazy, and he apparently decided against it. He did finally put down in the field by the Hilltop cabins, and a real ambulance came up the hill headed that way. I haven't found any news account of the accident or the persons condition. Hopefully they are OK. We saw another ATV tumble down a hill at the park/playground Sunday. Both rider and passneger were OK. It was a little crazy up there this weekend. | |

| Never heard anything bad around here yet. Bergoo was super crowded, rode both days and never seen any signs of a crash. Big crowds equal big problems. The need to show off rises, and you can't get out of eachother's way. Sometimes if a crowded area, you are a setting duck, and you just can't get out of eachother's way. Can you Kenny Lacy? | |

| I used to always avoid riding on holiday weekends. Still avoid it some. I don't run hard at all when I do go out on those crowded days. Way to many people not paying a bit of attention to what's going on, and not thinking to clearly. | |

| Absolutely no reason to be going so fast or/and so out of control for something like this to happen! I know I have been on rides where we were moving along at a pretty decent speed but we have always slowed down on blind curves or if the trail conditions call for it. Injuries like that are more than a simple accident! |

| I always anticipate someone coming around a blind curve. Like you say. You never know who's out riding the trails too. Be safe. | |

| That's sad. I read on the Utah forum that a 70 year old man and his wife were killed this weekend and their two grand children seriously injured when their CanAm SxS went over a 100' edge in Eagle Canyon. | |

Maybe so. I read that he wasn't wearing a helmet(of course) and not belted in. In any sport/hobby/situation that you take the risks for granted, you'll get hurt. The degree to which is then left up to fate. | |
