| On my last ride, the light came on with a wrench light up. What does that mean and how do you reset it? |

| THE LIGHT IS PRESET FROM THE FACTORY TO COME ON AT 50 HOURS & IT WILL COME ON AGAIN AT 100 HOURS. JUST MEANS ITS TIME FOR A SERVICE.
RESET IT BY GOING THROUGH THE CODES -- SOMETHING LIKE SETTING THE CLOCK

| Yea...its most likely the oil change reminder. Look behind your air filter regularly to make sure no dirt is passing it. I have seen 3 RZR motors get dirt past the air filter. You should consider snorkleing it like Bubba's before it costs you a motor. If there is dirt behind the air filter you will need to do a compression test. If this is low you'll need new cylinder, pistons and intake valves. Don't wanna have to do that, when you can buy a snorkle kit for $200.00. Or you could look at Bubba's and piece it together from Lowe's. If you lose too much compression you'll get a by the Rhino | |

| Watch Bubba's videos on his snorkle!! If you don't snorkle it you'll get dirt, they told you wrong. It's actully been 4 motors I've seen this happen to. | |

| Where is the air filter then? Do you use the stock one? |

| if you grease the lip of the filter and get a prefilter like and outerwear the stock one will be fine. i had 1700 miles on my LE with the origanal stock filter with prefilter and no dust past the filter and close to 1400 on my S with the same setup. |

| I have read that the dust ingestion problem was fixed in 09. The 08s were taking in dust at the boot between the airbox and throttle body. The new boot is softer, and has more give to it, so it won't work loose from vibration. Did it fix them, or is it BS? I've been keeping a close eye on mine and no dust inside the filter yet. But, every time I take the lid off, I grease both ends of the filter where it seals up. If I ever find dust in there, that stock airbox will be history. | |

Tbone21..I have a 3" intake tube comming off the stock air cleaner going to the roof and a after market K&N air filter on top of the tube, plus a unifilter in the stock air cleaner (double filter system) when the filter on top of the tube gets dirty, the rzr will idle lower...thats when I clean that filter...I have never had to clean the unifilter...it looks brand new. I also ran 2" pvc on my CVT to the roof..I put pre filter outerwares on those two pipes.

So just go buy a pre filter that goes over the original filter and not even snorkel it? |

| I have the 2nd generation 08 as well.I used it before i snorkeled mine. The problem i had with my RZR was not the dust.I checked it regularly with no dust past the filter, but before it was snorkeled and not long after i got it in sep 2007,i took it submarining down at wagon wheel while it was all stock. And i also knew about the conn. at the throttle body being shabby and had addressed that beforehand. And i also knew that i never had it deep enough to come up to the factory box between the seats. The only part i seen underwater was the airbox itself.Unfortunately i wasn't concerned enough to immeadiately pull the lid.It ran a little ruff for a few minutes when it started but after that was fine.I'm guessing that is when my problems started. It was either that or it was one time i had left a ground wire to one of my coils off accidentally one time and without realizing it i took off and noticed one cylinder firing.reattatched it and went on,but a ride or so after that was when i noticed oil consumption.A cylinder stopped firing again, checked the oil and it was a quart low. That was at 1700 miles. It uses 1 quart every 150 miles or so,but the power is still great.a compression check i did on it around that time still showed within its tolerances but i need to check it again just to see how much its dropped. It still only uses a quart every 150 miles and now has 2800 miles on it.So i'll keep running it until it stops and then probably go with the 860 Big Bore kit. | |

| One of the problems with the 08 and maybe the 09 as well was the fact that the end of the throttle body tube where your intake connects, did not have any sort of pre-machined lip for the boot to slip over to help keep it on tight(just like a radiator has on its neck where the hose attatches) and when you consider the fact that some of those hose clamps may not have been as tight as they needed to be from the factory, and of course the fact that the connection was so ridgid. This resulted in a whole lot of machines with dirt ingestion which doesn't even really have anything to do with your airbox itself. And then throw in on top of that the fact that the airbox is mounted to the frame moving around while your throttle body moves in a different direction with your engine. That alone ,with a ridgid type conn.they put on the 08s ,to work it loose and allow it to suck air. | |

| Programmable Service Interval When the hours of engine operation equal the programmed service interval setting, the wrench icon will flash for 5 seconds each time the engine is started. When this feature is enabled, it provides a convenient reminder to perform routine maintenance. The service interval is programmed at 50 hours at the factory. To enable or disable the service interval: 1. Enter the diagnostic mode. Toggle to the service interval screen. 2. Press and hold the mode switch for about seven (7) seconds, until either ON or OFF appears in the Rider Information Center, depending on your preference. To reset the service interval: 1. Enter the diagnostic mode. Toggle to the service interval screen. 2. Press and hold the mode switch for 2-3 seconds, until the wrench icon flashes. Release the switch. 3. Press and release the mode switch once to advance the setting by one hour. Press and hold the mode switch to advance the hours quickly. NOTE: If you scroll past the intended number, press and hold the switch until the hours cycle back to zero. 4. When the desired setting is displayed, wait until the wrench icon stops flashing. The new service interval is now programmed. __________________
