| Just wondering how many of you guys wear helmets while riding? I have been thinking lately that i'm gonna start. I think it's just a matter of time until something bad happens and the older I get the more I seem to like myself, LOL!!! I have also been considering some Pro Armor doors and possibly even a 5 point harness. Does anyone that installed a harness regret it or not like it? | |

| I wear a helmet 99% of the time I ride and 5 pt harnesses about the same. The only time you will see me not wearing them is if I am running around the campground or maybe down the the restaurant. I have worked in neurology for 19 years. With all the head injuries I have seen I don't take too many chances. | |

| I have a 5 pt. and wear a snow boarder's helmet( light weight w/built-in speakers). A heavy helmet will make your neck hurt after a hard ride. | |

I've got harness's but hardly ever wear them. I get this feeling of being strapped... I also move around alot when I'm driving. With that being said, on some nasty hill climbs or just a sticky situation I have them if I feel like I need them. If I have a paasenger with me I ask them to wear them at all times.

| I have simpsons 5 point and always wear them, unless I'm ridein around the camp or getting into a deep, unknown water and mud hole. Takes a lil bit longer to get them hooked up, but they sure release in a hurry. After useing them for a bit, you can get them all hooked up pretty quick. I'll never go back to stock. And the 5 point do not get all glogged up with grit, dust, and mud. | |

| FWIW Thunter, you ride just a little faster than what I do. When you got away from me toward the end of our ride, 1 my front suspension was bottoming out at my settings, and 2 it was a little fast for not wearing a helmet. I didn't know what was lurking under that tall grass, and I was thinking about what would happen if..
Looking back on that day, I think we should have had helmets on the high speed stuff, and maybe not of the slow trails. One thing is for sure, if I had my helmet on, I wouldn't have had to eat all that dust.

| I am in the 99% on helmut and harness as well. I like the harness much better than the stock seat belt that came in my Ranger |

I have what some call balls, others call it stupidity, LMAO!!!! However the gauntlet has been thrown down now and on the next ride we will just have to see. So you better get you some googles for the next ride just incase, LOL!!

Do you wear a full face helmet or what? I think that would really get on my nerves. Right now i'm leaning towards just getting an open face helmet.

| Every time I have not worn my helmet I had regrets. Whether it was just because of dust, cold, branches, briars slapping my face or rocking sideways and hitting my head on the roll bar.... | |

On new trails I'm afraid to push it. Honestly, if you ride fast often, you should have some sort of helmet. If you lose it at 50mph, it's not going to be a good day.

| I wear a full face helmet 90% of the time, the other 9% is a half helmet. They will help with brain injuries but not facial ones. A friend of mine had a roll over and was wearing a half helmet. The helmet saved his life but he did break every bone in his face. That wouldn't have happened with a full face helmet. BUT any helmet is better than no helmet. And as for it getting on your nerves, its like anything else. You WILL get used to it. | |

| I feel naked on the trails without my helmet. The helmet is a modular full face and also keeps some of the dust out of my eyes. To be honest I do not think about the helmet -- seems natural to wear. | |
