| "Pocahontas Trail" is the official name for the newest H/M system going in Mercer County and should be ready in April so there will be 3 trail systems you can ride while staying in Ashland or Pineville or lot's of other places.I think there will be another new campground near the trailhead near Bramwell IMO. | |

| Bobby, do you know if the Pocahontas system will connect to Indian Ridge when it opens? That's a pretty good distance via trail... | |

I'm sure that is the plan to have it connected to Indian Ridge which will give you 3 systems all connected and expand more in the near future.

I have been there twice...and both times I tore the bottom of my overfenders off my rzr (because it was so rutted) I even called ahead of time and they said the trails had just been groomed...it's a 100 miles for me....and I'm not to impressed....have you had better luck....I'm not knocking the place....and I'm not a pickey person.... I just can't see having to take my overfenders off just to go riding there....

I already knew that I was talking about it being marked and mapped You can even go to Gilbert from Ashland so I'm sure you can get to most of the H/M trail systems from one to another if you are really good with a GPS.I think the long term plan is to have them all connected down the road with more & more systems to be put in with a total of 2,000 miles of trails when it's all said and done.

| This was posted on Ashlands Resorts website:
Slated for completion in the spring of 2011, the trail will be adjacent to the Indian Ridge Trail System. A connection point will be built on the mountain above Ashland Resort. When completed, the Pocahontas Trails will add up to 100 new miles of ATV adventure! Earlier this fall a connector was opened to Pinnacle Creek Trail System. With the Pocahontas, Indian Ridge, and Pinnacle Creek Trails Ashland Resort Guests will have direct campground access to over 250 miles of connected managed trails

| Wonder where the trailhead will be? I hope there's one close to Princeton or something, not just one near the other two trails. | |

I think on Rt 52 near Bramwell which will be closer than driving into Ashland
