| I have had the super ATV springs on for about 6 months or more... never noticed it before but it appears they are rubbing on the side of the shock... there is paint scratched off, and you can see its very close, and probably rubs while riding.
is this something to worry about?
don't want to have issues on the spring ride..
Anyone? | |

| Ty my super atv springs aren't rubbing the shock body @ all. Now they do rub just a little against the plastic piece ( guard ) that's wrapped around the shock body from the bottom & extends up about 8 inches. I guess that plastic piece is there to keep metal to metal of shock & spring from rubbing. I've seen some spring rubbing on the shocks on other machines both utv & atv that's come thru our shop. I don't think I'd be real concerned unless it's really gouging into the shock which would likely be from something being bent. Maybe our shock expert James ( JBS ) will chime in later & give us his opinion on the matter. | |

| I may have been the first on our forum to use SuperATV springs. I've never had a rubbing issue - spring-to-shock. I have noticed rubbing of the plastic sleeve-to-shock interface with Lt 450 shocks. A little side grinder work to correct spring seat angle fixed that. I can't think of a reason why your springs would rub a stock shock. If you have time, take the spring off and check the seat to vertical length angle. I'd be surprised if your springs are bent. Your shock ?????. | |

| Brought it to dealer to get their opinion... the tech centered the spring with a hammer .. said they must have moved out of position, that there is nothing to worry about...just keep an eye on them..
I think I am ok for the spring ride, thanks guys! | |
