I seen a YouTube video that showed some riders riding over a couple of railroad trestles on the Wagon Wheel trails. Anyone know which trail that is? It looked really cool.

These did not have the rails on one side anymore. They look like they had been removed for trail riding. They looked like double tracks or something at one time and they removed the rails.

I saw the same video last evening. Since I am meeting bubba and his gang there to ride on Saturday , I asked him if we were going over the bridge. He said no, $500.00 fine. I'm glad he said NO or I would be riding in cresent WV on that poker run. I'd poop myself going across them.

Railroad companies do not play! I could tell you a story that involved a teenager in his 79 CJ7, railroad tracks, Amtrack, a sheriff, & a slight delay in passengers getting to their destinations.
Just let me say onto the railroad tracks looking for another entrance to your favorite four-wheeling spot after they closed it.

Lemme just say the Judge was not assumed
Btw - railroads have their own detectives - with as much power as a sheriff.

I know its illegal to ride on the tressels, but is it ok to ride beside the railroad tracks that are on the ground?

That area is considered right of way and is illegal to ride down the sides of that as well. I think right of way extends out 50 feet out from the track.

last time i was up there they had the trails blocked that went to the tracks.

Correct, the right of way for the railroads is off limits also.

You don't have to cross the trestle you are talking about. There is a path that loop's under, goes down a little ways, connects to a gravel road and then you are under the trestle on the other side!! We don't have trains here so I think it is pretty cool to ride around that area!!

The area that has the tressel & tunnel is getting logged right now as well (Wagon Wheel). It will be a mess for awhile. Since the rail road police are so strict, I avoid that area.
