| I was riding my Rhino at powerline park and got into a lot of mud. Well I ended up filling my belt drive full of watter. But being towed back my winch shorted out and burnt my ground up and also went through my wiring harness. Does anyone know where I could get a new wiring harrness? Me and a buddie fixed it but its only tempory. Or do you guys think I should just go back in and fix the wires the right way with shrink tubes and things like that? | |

| Up to you on that one , replacing the entire wiring harness would be quite a bit of work . As long as you seal each conection , use the same size wire , Solder each connection and shrink wrap I don't belive you will not have a problem . Just curious as to how you shorted your Winch by being pulled ? Plan on putting a battery in soon if the Fuzes did not catch the short . | |

| Well when me and a buddie instaled the winch we did not turn the motor on the winch and that left the ground real close to the bumper. Plus I got to powerline late friday night and wanted to get a little riding in before they shut down for the night and I forgot to grab my strap. So my brother pulled me home with my dads rhino. Everytime he stoped and then started again it would make my lights and things go dim. Also after everything shorted out the starter was still trying to start the motor. Even with the key off. | |

| Wow, that sucks. I would try to fix it the right way before I would buy a new 1. You'll have some time in fixing it, but I'm sure it'll be a lot cheaper. | |

| It was a Venom 4000 LBS winch. What happened was that me and my buddie didnt think to trun the motor on the winch and thats the only reason it shorted out. It worked fine to pull my buddie 700 Kind Quad out of the hole that screwed me for all weekend. | |

| one thing to think about did you use zip ties? if so they may have rubed a hole thourgh the wire houseing and shorted out.and its a good idea to put a over ride switch in line with the winch.seen gunrunners not release when he pulled his out on a Ky ride.plus I burnt mine the same way when winch over heated and could not turn it off | |
