| When i pull out from a dead stop it seems like it is jerking for a second then takes off , doesn't feel right at all. It's not slipping so i dont think its the belt, but it could be, i have still have the factory belt on it, seems more in the rear end ,1650 miles so what do u all think it might be,,, any ideas:? | |

| take your off and take a look at it. It will show the wear and you will be able to see if its the problem child or not.
If it isnt you atleast have a spare. Thats what it sounds like to me though. |

| If its a hesitation in the motor, then its the beginning of the end of your fuel pump. You can get em off of Ebay for $60 and a fairly easy install. Any backfiring? Could be a Tmap sensor also. Wheel bearings could be seizing up if its coming from the rear axles. | |

| dont think its the motor at all, seems to jerk when i give it gas like its gears not meshing togther and locking up , the belt got smoked saturday for a few seconds when lisa was driving , but i have noticed it before then, i have not checked the hubs at all , would that not be a constant problem other than when you pull out? | |

| Maybe there is a chance that the belt has created some debris down in the sheaves or something and could even be a good reason for smoking the belt a little. Might find some CHUNKS in there causing the jerking. | |

| You could have burnt spots in the belt . kind of like having a flat spot on a tire. trys to skip when it comes to that part of the belt or cords in belt could be bad in one spot. I would replace it so you don't shreed it and end up with a mess. | |

| I would say it's the belt. Mine has been acting strange lately...1750miles. Mine feels like it's engaging at a little higher rpm, and when it does it grabs all at once with a jerk. I can't make it slip at all in low, it's like a one/off switch. Seems like I give it gas and it takes an extra second, then it goes like hell. I've also noticed that mine free wheels at higher speeds going down hill than it used to.
I've never had the cover off. I need to measure the width of the belt and see if it's near the minimum. I bet it's time. | |
