| Aight now I have a rear end problem. At low speed there is a clicking noise from the back drivers wheel. I can jack it up and spin the wheels and there is nothing. No binding no licking nothing...I even put it in gear and had my wife rev it up to bout 10mph nothing. The wheel bearing however has some considerable play in it. Does anyone think the wheel bearing could be making the noise or is the general vote still on the cv joint? | |

| Have you eliminated the idea of it being a rear brake pad clicking? Does it still do it while rolling and applying the brakes? | |

| Another thing to check, does it only do it when turning Left, Right or going straight or all the time .... My CV did not make a sound going left or straight, ... but turning right was really ugly.. LOL | |

| If the wheel bearing has failed, it will make noises as you discribed. How much play do it have? | |

I just replaced rear wheel bearings today...my left one had about the same and the bearing came out in 2 pieces. I would change it out just in case.

| Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions guys...I talked to a few mechanics from a couple different dealers around here and bearing seems to be their thought also...regardless on weather it is the issue or not it is still had and needs to ne replaced...guess I will try that and go from there...I do have extra cv joints sitting here if I do need to replace one of them tho.....thanks again guys I appreciate it..... Mark another one up for why this is a great bunch of ppl here.... | |

| Mine makes poping sounds from the swaybar mount. But, you do need to replace that bearing. Mine are still very tight. You better jack it up and check them all. I would rather change them all out if they are worn, than just do one, and end up working on it every month instead of riding. These side by sides sure do require alot of attention, but the sure are fun. | |

| Welp I replaced the bearing and guess what..........still clicking...has to be a cv joint......unbelievable hardly no miles and cv joint bad.....what is worse the axle shafts for the "s" axles are different size in diameter than the standard rzr axles....so that rules out using my other joints... | |

| Yea bout 80010mph miles ago.....not sure how that would cause a clicking in the rear end bit even with the axle out the joint feels just the same as new...real smooth and everything wiggle it anyway with no issues. Like I said jack it up at full droop and no clicking or binding.... | |

Try putting it in a bind, Sharp left, Sharp right, and straight... as I said, mine would only click in one direction, the rest were fine... if I could ride and only turn left or go straight, it would have been great. BTW mine would make no noise up on jack with no weight on it, it was the Rt rear inner CV. Hope this helps

| Lol well it does it regardless of left, right, or straight...I even jacked it up under the a-arm so that the suspension would be as if it were sitting on the ground and still no clicking.... | |

If you support the A arms(in turn) and, in neutral, rock the wheel back-and-forth can you see/feel slop in the outer CV joint? After you replaced the bearing are you sure the half shaft is fully seated in the differential? Has an observer confirmed the noise comes from where you think it does? Have you removed the panel behind the seats to check for slop in the rear u-joint? Do you have an extreme lift on the rear suspension? I'm still skeptical of a bad CV joint. All is in MHO.

| I have had two other ppl pick that same wheel as the one that is making noise without being told. Any opinions on which one it is....it is def. The rear drivers couldn't happen at a worse time I am heading for pineville Thursday night. Elmo actually made a really good suggestion I am going to try in the morning...I am going to swap the rear axles side form side and see what happens....I aint got nothing to loose but bout half an hours time trying it..... | |

| If you can't prove it's a bad bearing, CV joint or U-joint go ahead and ride it. | |

| If you switch axels and it still does it...take the brake calaper off and try it. The brakes have been known to make ticking noises. | |
