| OK FOR THE GUYS THAT HAVE THE FOX SHOCKS , if your machine is squeking and you cant find it ! pull your shocks off and the shock eyes have mono balls in them . pull the spacers out and clean them with WD40 and free them up . then grease them very good , this is now gonna be on my 6 month service if not more often ! | |

Bubba...it's still a good idea to take them off every once in a while. Even after washing mine and I take them off there is still grit on them. When I take them off I clean the mono balls with brake clean, spinnig them to get all the gritt out. Then spray TEF-GEL on them. No squeeks and it keeps wear to a minimum. | |

| you have to pull them off because there is a fat rubber o-ring on both sides that keet the spray oils from getting to the mono ball | |

| The front end of my XP was squeaking like an old mattress. I took the front shocks off and cleaned/lubed the Heims and now the front end is quiet as a mouse. I will do the rear shocks next.
Like Porkchop said, the Heim balls are inside of O-rings, so external lube will not penetrate.
