SRS MOTORSPORTS GREENSBORO NC : BUYER BEWARE

So here is the short story,
I ordered a complete new black plastic set from SRS on NOV 1, came to a total of 300 bucks and some change *cool* I waited and waited, sent an email and was told one of my parts were on back order but everything should be shipped to my door this week *cool*
I get a call from them yesterday saying my parts are in *cool* and I can come pick them up any time *wait what?* I ask about shipping, they say it will be very expensive due to the size of the box the hood is in, I say when I ordered the stuff online it showed as no charge for shipping * I thought this was due to the amount of the purchase,not uncommon * They say they will talk to the manager and get back to me.
I get another call today saying that I am responsible for shipping or I can come pick the parts up, I am told that there is a disclaimer *fine print* that apparently says they are not responsible for blah blah blah.
I say well just give me a credit on my credit card and they can keep the stuff, they say there will be a 20% restocking fee. So yea basically what it comes down to is I pay to have the stuff shipped, even though THERE website shows no charge for shipping on my order * they say this is due to the computer could not calculate the price of shipping due to the size of the box* OR I drive 2 plus hours to there location to pick my stuff up with diesel fuel at 3.79 a gallon.

So yea sorry for the long post and sorry if its hard to read, Im just pretty frustrated over this situation.

This isn't the first time I have heard a complaint on them. They got me years ago and I haven't been back. Sorry to hear

Call you Credit Card company and tell them the Deal and have the charges blocked .... It is not what you ordered , there for you refuse to pay for the parts or restocking fee cause the contract ( verbal ) has been broken ...... The vendor is not the final say ..... Print or save the page that says free shipping to post in a email to your Credit card company , the restocking fee should only apply if you return the part , you are not .... The contract is void cause the vendor is adding charges that you did not agree to ....

Call them back and tell them to ship it free or give ur money back.

Tbone Im pretty sure You warned me before about them I was hard headed and had to find out on my own, as far as diputing the charge i may look into that.
I am working on filing a complaint with the BBB....
As far as disputing the charges, do I just straight up lie and act like I know nothing and dont know where my parts are or do I tell the credit card company what the deal is.

Tell the truth , the page said free shipping , they now say shipping is not included there for I consider it a breach of contracted price and I wish to deny payment to SRS Motorsports on this transaction and any further transactions ( because they will try to post the restocking fee to the card you gave ) . You agreed to pay a price and gave your card number in good faith , they can adjust the price to the agreed apone price or recieve nothing at all . When you call you bank or " Visa, mastercard or discover " tell them of the discression and ask for a stop payment on that transaction .... Before I would drive 2+ hours which is more like 5 hours by the time you do the transaction and return home you are out your time /fuel /wear and tear on your vehicle , my Hourly rate is $100 a hour Plus milage if they wish to pay it for me to come get it .....

U know what........I just thought.......let's send WVHOTRODRHINO there. James will just walk in, kick their ass and walk out. They won't even know why he is there!

I've always wandered about this , if they charged his visa back on Nov 1 can you still get the bank or credit card company to reverse the charges?

Punder, I think im gonna do just that, credit card company cant fault me for complaining IF I tell the truth and the hole truth, all they can do is deny it In which case I am back where I am now lol.

LOL< I love this idea and for those that don't Know James, this isn't that far off and probably wouldn't take much to make it happen.........but we just need to get him to wear a gopro camera when he does it!

I think the disclaimer is gonna seal the deal...how much was the shipping gonna be...

Sounds like they suck you in thinking your getting a good deal, then after the transaction is in progress....BOOM Bust your bubble and your wallet.

Just to give closure to this, The Parts manager of srs called me today (seems to be a really good guy actually) and is taking care of everything for me, He said I should have my parts monday (at no additional cost to me) He said that he is aware of the companies reputation and that he is trying to straighten it out.
The guys have great prices (25% less than my local dealer) IFFF they can get there issues worked out.

I still like the idea of a good ole azz whoopin. I'm in if they don't work it out. Hope they get you taken care of.

Great news...

James was at home polishing his baseball bat. That guy must of heard and straightened up!

the guy was actually very apoligetic and seems very sincere, ill still probably not buy anything else from them but atleast I am getting my new body, teryx is gonna be nasty come spring!

Good to hear , I can now say I have heard ONE good thing about them ..... I am glad we have Randy Mullis on here , he has done a lot along with Amanda too Make Carolina Polaris shine on here , Discounts , Service , and overall a good personality for a dealership , I am glad we have them as a Vendor ....
