| Been thinking of adding a small tool box to my cargo. The question is what does Polaris use metric or standard?
Also how large on the wrench/sockets should one go for basic trail repairs, like changing the drive belt?

| Largest socket would probably be a axle , most used would be lug nuts , safest to carry set that has a variety ... Target has a set that they put on sale , even walmart has a set that has a test light , cresent wrench , wrenches /sockets in standard and metric, alen wrenches , extensions , , they usually go on sale for a like $13-15 dollars .... If I lost anything in there that is cheap enough to get another , but it also covers you on other machines that might be in the group , or if you used a different fastener somewhere .... I prefer a good set to work on my machine but I don't plan to do major repairs out there ... This is the kit I have in my machine but it is stanley .....

I did add a large cresent wrench , wire pliers( ends and butt splices ) plyers , zip ties , duct tape .....

| and i would suggest, tire plugs and a valve stem or two plus a valve stem wrench and a compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. | |

| Popo uses both metric n standard. For the belt 3/8 socket n 18 inch pry bar is what I use. Plugs(alot n put them in a zip lock bag in a zip lock bag, double they tend to dry out), plug glue the same way, air compressor that plugs in cig outlet but also plug that connects it to alligator clips in case outlet acts up ( been ther done that). I ride at home by myself alot so I carry small jack. It's hard to know or balance out what exactly to take, depends on where, how long the ride, I carry belt other things too but feel what I mentioned r at least the are minimum that should beer carried n Toilet Paper with beer! | |
