| What do you think about the added width? Does it help or hurt. Any regrets on the RZR S purchase? | |

| No regrets here, but i think the x-width only helps if your gonna' ride aggresively. I've been surprised at how tight a atv trail can be negotiated in the S. If i was buying again it would be an S, for now. |

| Lt, the S is 60.5'' wide, but thats with the shocks set from the factory which is a very soft setting. Once you dial up the preload to stiffen them up it raises the center of gravity giving you more ground clearance and it draws in the a-arms too bringing its width to about 59''. Then you are about the same as the guys running the other rzr's like mine with spacers and aftermarket wheels, mine sits at 57'' now. So really A S model set up for the woods right and a regular set up right is not much difference, except for the 3k in price diff between what a standard and a S costs, now factor in a set of wheels ,tires,(700.00)spacers (175.00)and lift kit, 180.00 and the price diff will be about 1950.00 + the extra sales tax between the two models thats if you plan on using the stock tire/wheel setup the S came with. For this extra 2k you get better shocks and a extra rear rollbar , fender flairs, and the S motor which has a few HP more but also uses more gas, so really either way you go both are good deals. IMO If the extra money is not a issue buy the S. I would have probably bought one myself if one had been available at the time. I have spent a lot of cash on mine and its setup right now but i have about the same in it a stock S would have cost me. Just remember that to do it up right, either model requires more to be spent after the purchase, skidplates, a-arm guards, top and so on. |

| I agreen with GunRunner. I am sure glad i bought the S model. The added ground clearance is a plus. I like the added width for stability. Also, and most important IMO, the suspension articulation is far superior to the reg rzr. But, back to the width/thread topic; I think the added width helps. Much more stable. | |

| Well after driving mine 100 miles this weekend, I would say the width is not a handicap at all. I went everywhere I wanted to go and man that S just crawls over stuff. I barely used AWD. | |

| To me, the extra width is a down fall because Ohio regulates the width of the machine to 50" to ride on the state parks as does PA.
From the added FACTORY parts mentioned above, they would be covered under the warranty on an S and not covered on a regular RZR and I like that.
I am actually thinking of getting a second RZR and would like to get the S as the second one. That way, where the trails permit I can take both and let my wife have one and I can drive one without hearing "No don't go THERE". And if we go to a trail that limits the width then she would just have to ride with me...... | |
