| ok it was pretty flippin cold this weekend.
went out to ride took teryx out of garage and was fine went for a little ride brought back firewood and it sat outside for a while.
went back out to go for another ride and would only idle LOL froze solid. put back in garage to warm up (PIA to push that thing it is freaking heavy) lubed up the part of the cable that i could see by pedal. THEN . . . . . went for another ride and this time it stuck in reverse with gas on LOL had to use key to stop it
I have not went through water since we went way back in december. it wasnt do deep but i did do some heavy splashing in the creek to wash off mud LOL
question is, how do you stop this from happening and what can i use to lube the cable to try and prevent it from happening. when i raced quads we just used WD-40
BUT its gonna be a job to pull all the stuff off to get to the throttle cable. would like to not have to do this every time i hit some deep water.
on top of all that i think i am getting the FLU. | |

| I would just replace it and not fool with it. It is not that expensive of a part. It just happens from time to time. Its going to happen to us all except for Commander owners. |

The can am is throttle by wire. Computer controlled. No cable. This sounds like the cable is giving trouble and is a warning. I would replace it |

| Ben check your owners manuel there's a maint. place in there that will tell you how and when to lube things but for me I lube stuff more often than recommended. Phil's also right on this 1.... Warm it up first. | |
