| After changing out my plastic my 08 RZR won't start. I have triple checked all connections at dash, checked all the fuses under steering column. All the functions on the dash seem to work perfect. I have made sure the fuel pump is pumping fuel, checked spark plug wires at both ends, and checked all the grounds. The only thing I have found is that the coil pack has no power on any of the three wires on the connector, with the switch in the on position and while turning the engine over. I pulled one of the plug wires at the coil and held it close to coil and didn't see any spark while turning the engine over. I just bought this RZR and have never messed with them so I really don't have a clue. Does anyone have any ideas? | |

| Ok , is it powering up and not turning over ?Or is it powering up and turning over but not starting ( no spark)? I would guess you have crossed wires or left something unhooked , just start taking it back apart to the point you can see the wiring to actually see every thing . Do a test on the fueses , Continutity to make sure one was just not getting ready to go . Most issus come back to the major ground next to the battery , clean and tighen that area . | |

| Could the crank position sensor be out of it? I may be wrong but it sounds like that |

| Where is the Crank sensor located at? we might run down there with mine or Billy's RZR and if we can't find the location of the power loss maybe swap out the sensors and see. We got to get this thing running guys so we can break this NOOB in this week in WV. Remember if anyone up there next week stop by Hilltop, Big G, Ncmayo, Knatgetitright and Wrong turn, Superdave and several more will be there, weds on so save a horse ride the hills and come on by. | |

| It is located on the bottom of the engine. There is a black connector and a gray one. The gray one is for the stator and the black one is the crankshaft sensor. Check left side bottom of engine when looking at the engine from behind. | |

| You mentioned changing plastics on the machine which would include keyswitch removal and re-installation. Just maybe connections aren't tight on the keyswitch itself. Pin number (E) is a wire that runs directly to E.C.U. Theree are also 2 wires coming off of keyswitch that join together as one wire that lead to fuse box. Just a couple more things to check. | |

| To test the crankshaft position sensor, connect an ohm meter between the pin terminals leading from the yellow and white wires. A good sensor will give you a reading of 560 ohms plus or minus 10%. Anything other than that means it is bad. | |

| Would this sensor be the reason it's not getting any fire. Also he has no power to the coil pack | |

| Yup, the crankshaft sensor is a magnetic field type switch similar to a magneto on a flywheel you see on lawnmower engines that sends crankshaft position to E.C.U. and the E.C.U. sends fire to coils in proper sequence for both cylinders. When the crank sensor isn't working, the E.C.U. has no idea when to send spark, so it doesn't. | |

| But this isn't the only thing that could be causing this problem. | |

| The coil pack sends spark to plugs. If you have no power coming TO the coils you won't have spark at plugs.
A bad E.C.U. can cause same problem. And so can a bad connection on keyswitch. | |
