| The police needs to buy a side by side and do a "bait car" like theydo on tv. It's time to get serious about protecting Ashland |

| I bet there is one heck of a chop shop within 5 miles of there. We were just talking about that yesterday. You know they are stripped down the night they come up missing, and the popular parts sold on craigslist/ebay.
The thieves are very close, watching and waiting for the right machine and time to swipe it.

| I would guess they have got them a switch and just unplug the stock one and plug theirs in and drive off . These are simple machines and just thing that that way . One of the guys in the atv site used to put a pipe thru the wheels with a lock on each end , simple and effective and hard to get at to cut off , and your not going to roll it away too to mess with either . | |

| Update, the XP was taken between 10 pm and 5:30 am. He was in the cabin by the shower house and we think it was pushed down the hill to an awaiting trailer. Ashland owners say they are reviewing video tapes but I'm not sure they even have any? State police did a drive through of the camp ground and filled out a report but didn't have much hope for finding it. People take extra care on locking up your 15,000 thousand dollar machines and take the extra effort to secure it.. | |

| You can go to Ashland website and watch a live video feed from the campground so there is atleast one camera. I would hope there would be more especially one watching the entrance getting a good shot of anything coming or going. | |

| I run a cable thru mine and anyone else with me. then I lay the glock in arms reach. At the Spring ride Somonize, handyman, and myself tied all of ours together.
alot of people run there winch around something but most winches have a free spool clutch and is nothing to un-do
Sorry for your buddy's loss

| It was my 900 that was stolen. I should have listened to my friends and taken a little more time and chained it up! On a good note, it sounds like my insurance company is going to treat me well. I have to give some praise to progressive if they do everything they say they are going too. | |
