What tools are needed to change the drive belt on a RZR? If it makes a difference I have a 800.
I want to carry the correct tools on the RZR with the spare belt but don't know what size of what is needed.

Whatever the tool needed to pull off the housing. I think its a philips screw driver. You really dont need a special tool like the can ams need.
Hope this helps.

thats pretty much it , for our riding I do suggest grease on the belt box seal and intake /exhaust tubes . Grease allows you to just stick it back on and it reseals , if you silicone once you bread the seal you are gonna leak . I would leave the screws out of the back of the console they really are not necessary . You really do not need work the secondary , if you can pull the belt that usualy does the trick . The seat bar is the biggest pain of the whole process , well that and lining up the belt cover .

I want to keep the gasket and all the cover bolts installed (we never know where we'll end up). A 6'' lg. - 1/4" drive extension w/ ratchet makes the cover removal/install easier. Buy a couple extra cover bolts - they're easy to lose in a field replacement.

Good idea on the extra bolts. I am one that believes in replacing them all too.

If you have never changed one before, I think you should tear it down, and put it back together one time using the tools that make it the easiest, and keep them with you on the trail. Tear into it once, and it's really easy and a whole lot faster if you do it again.
