| my buddy has a new canned hamm and when he first starts it, it tells him that he is in limp mode and stays that way for about 20 seconds. the dealer tells him that is normal.....is it???? | |

| Mine did that one time. I wouldn't worry about it. If it gets annoying take it to the dealer and ask them to fix it. That's what I would do |

| Limp Mode is a reoccuring problem on some Can-Am ATV's also. On the atv's it's often a bad electrical connection, occurs when moisture gets in a connection, or when there is an "abnormal" electrical load like using a winch. Can-am has their monitoring of the electrical system set to crazy tight tolerances in my opinion. My 2006 Outlander did not have the issue but my 2010 did. The 2010 just required some dielectric grease to correct. The positive thing is I have never seen limp home mode have any effect on performance. Runs just as great even when it gives that warning... Usually just cut the Can-am off and on and it goes away. | |
