| I too have that winch in the 3500lb I believe. I had a nice write up with install pics on PRCFORUM awhile back. I didn't get the synthetic rope though. Wish I would have. As for the winch, I have never had it out, so I can't speak for it, although it does look good on my rzr! LOL | |

| My winch has come in handy so far. I winched this truck out last weekend even though they said it would not do it. | |

| Man, those synthetic roes are nice. Keeps from scratching the plastic when you pull RZRs back over on 4 tires. | |

| Looks good! I wish I would have gotten the rope now. I may change my cable out for the rope. I think you can get the rope off ebay for like $50.00 | |

| Keep the roller fairlead if it doesn't have sharp places in it. It reduces friction by 90%. Will greatly increase the life of your cable(rope). I got mine on ebay for $44 and was $75 cheaper than buying it already on the winch. I bought the 4000# for $179.00, make sure you buy the kit with the snatch block, strap, and both controls. | |

| I was thinking about synthetic rope, and just came across this thread. I love my Viper max 3000 on the rhino, but hate respooling the 50ft steel cable. It sure is a drum full, so I was thinking of going with the rope on the RZR when I get it. Bush, do you still have this winch? Should I go with the rope instead of the cable? | |

| i still have it. i love the rope. i will not go back to steel cable.
i did break the rope winching the crashed rzr up the hill but i had the rope ran under the rzr winching it up backwards and the rope was rubbing the edge of the bumper and after 3 rehooks it broke. good thing we had another winch and a chain hooked to it or it would have crashed all the way to the bottom. |

| Thanks Bush. I've heard the rope is much easier to work with and respool. The main reason I went with steel on the Rhino was the price and the constant up and down of the plow in the winter. | |

| I have the rope on my 4500 viper elite, and as you guys saw on the spring ride, I have no problem with it being under water and covered over with mud!!!! I guess I should take it out from under there and open it up, clean it out, and put some new grease in there, but out of site, out of mind!! It has never failed to work like a champ. | |
