| Does anybody else here have Liability coverage. I have it as part of my insurance on my machine. It costs me less than $400 a year for full coverage on my XP. | |

| Good lord.
How do u guys get that??? Both of my sxs's cost 500 to 600 a year with full coverage. I have never had any claims and no wrecks or tickets in my driving. I called progressive and geico complaining about people saying their insurance and they tell me those numbers don't exist.
How in the heck do u guys have that?? |

| Right now its 573 a year for both. High limits coverage and fully covered on everything.
This insurance has had me steamed for years but u can't afford not to have it.
When I called progressive and told them people had insurance on a rzr for 100 a year full coverage, the underwriter came over the phone and said it don't exist and it's impossible. I'll call them Daryl. This is the only thing thy has me going. Once a year with me it's a battle I have with the insurance companies. |

| I would say age makes a difference TBONE. My buddy Jedster that is picking up his new XP 900 on Monday said his insurance is $119.00 a year for it. | |

| 119 a year for a new xp?? Let's see the premium bill.
You are right on age. Underwriter said location and age makes a diff too.
Every year I have to switch companies due to increases. It's the biggest mess.

| A bit of History.
In the past you could buy fire and theft insurance for your ATV/SxS for less than $100 per year.
Insurance laws have changed so that ATV's/SxS's now fall into the same category as any other motor vehicle. I got a letter from Nationwide a few months ago telling me that the coverage I have on my Renegade will no longer be available and they will automatically switch it over to the new motor vehicle type policy.
Therefore, the least amount of coverage that you can purchase is Liability, and then it goes up from there.
On both Geico and Progressive's web sites, you can spec out a policy for your specific machine, then pick and choose the different levels of coverage, and see what the price difference is.
Liability only costs somewhere between $75-$150 per year depending on your vehicle.
T-Bone it sounds like you are getting a pretty good deal for full coverage on two vehicles. Like you said, it's based on age, location, and the cost of the vehicle.
Check out the Geico and Progressive sites and you can see what they offer for the different levels of coverage.
Something to note. Progressive is the only company that I found that has a separate option for the level of accessory coverage. There may be others, but I didn't run across any other provider that had this option.
Progressive also lets you choose how you would like to pay, i.e. monthly, 6-payments, 2-payments, or lump sum, and it's cheaper the fewer payments you make.
I did a lot of research before I purchased insurance on the XP and Progressive seemed like the best bang for the buck.

Progressive is who I am with now. Last year it was Geico. I sorta dread it but if I just pay the renewal and ignor it they are going to kill me. I knew those 100 a year full coverage was b.s. My insurance agent even went to investigating on it. Its unfortunate that the insurance costs are so high a year but gosh we cannot afford not to have it. It will be nice to have it when you need it. |

I am paying $250 per year through Allstate. I got a quote from http://markelinsuresfun.com/home out of curiosity. It came in @ $150 with $5,000 of accessories on the machine, $500 deductible and me having a $5,000 claim on mine last year....

| I have all of my insurance with progressive and have been with them for about 10 years. I got the snap shot thing on my truck and car and it droped them 30% and they are still watching them. It might go down evan more. At least I hope so. I doubt that haveing a CDL helps, but my motorcycle endorsement might help a bit with the RZR. | |
