Just program them. Can do minor repairs. Speakers and stuff like that.

I have to say, I am very pleased and actually impressed with the delivery speed of the USPS. I shipped radios out Friday to a couple of people and James received his the next day in Wv, and Jake is scheduled for his today.... I am telling ya, if you have anything to ship USPS beats UPS hands down.... Of course if you ask my mother she will tell you I have to say this. She has worked for USPS in one form or another for 30 years....

I second that. I used the tracking number and it did in deed say it should be here today. I made plans for wed or thurs with my install guy so of course he won't be available today.

I have got an update to the radios I have. The radios are still priced the same but I have gotten new antennas. These new antennas require no soldering of the tips. The new price with the new antennas are $165 shipped.

My install guy just left. He got here at 1pm, installed a mount, antenna, and wired for my Can-Am and for my truck. I now have one mobile radio that I mount in the truck for the convoy on the way to WV. Take it out, mount it in the Can-Am and hit the trails. Until I get some wing nuts and still have to use a screw driver or drill; it'll be a 5 minute at the most job. Otherwise 2 minutes.

Tested the radio and it was clear as a bell. It was pretty loud - but being that it has to be mounted with the speaker (which is on top) flush with the roof, with the motor revving and wearing a helmet, I couldn't quite make out what my wife was saying when she was up the driveway talking to me on the handheld. I put an external, amplified speaker pointing directly at me and all's well!

Install looks great. Radio looks/works great. Once again I appreciate the way you do business and the products you sell. Thanks for the advice and an overall great experience.

Touche on the nasty weather! Matt and I left the campground on a partly sunny ride and I forgot a ziplock bag to put the radio in for the rain. Well sure enough, the rain came the entire rest of the day. I was so nervous looking up at the radio and seeing the water dripping off it and the mic. My wife would reach up and wipe it dry every couple minutes, but in the back of my mind I'd already set aside money for a new one! The radio survived and sounded great all weekend long. It's a great product and a great price. I will be tweaking the install a bit. I'm gonna loc-tite the screws on the mounting bracket, external speaker and the antenna. All of which came loose on the 100 + miles of bumpy WV trails.
Another benefit that I hadn't considered: Matt was pulling his small trailer and I was pulling my 30' Toyhauler. Since I was had the radio mounted in my truck, Matt was able to go ahead and call out the traffic I was about to meet on those sharp mountain roads. When he didn't call traffic, I was able to swing wide into the other lane with that long camper.

Glad the radio worked out so great. These are tougher than one would think. Unfortunately my Rzr sits outside. I dont have a building big enough for it, so the radio sees all the weather. It is tucked up tight under the roof so it doesnt get any direct moisture, unless I hit it with the water hose accidently...... If you do soak it, just make sure the power is disconnected and dry it out before you plug it in. The only access for water to get in is the speaker. If it were me and I was running an external mic like you are i would silicone something over the speaker hole to make it even more waterproof.

Course, that might make it so you can't hear it in the truck Jake. I don't think you have an external speaker for it when it is in the truck.

True..... I could easily gorilla tape over the speaker and remove it when mounted in the truck like you suggested. Or, I could get a small external speaker and mount it somewhere out of the way. Prolly improve the sound as well.
