Ball park milage????

Hey guys and gals, I have 885 miles on my rzr now and do the normal trail and mud riding. How many miles are you getting out of your wheel bearings and brake pads.

That stuff should be covered under warranty souldn't it????

I have been through so many I have lost count


With 6,500 miles on my RZR I really could not tell you I don't keep track of it

BUT

I have always heard around 500 miles they may tend to give up.

Looks like I need to get a set and keep them on hand

ray ray thats what I do ! also keep a check on the tie rod ends ! 2400 plus miles and still have the same brake pads

hey also , if you have not done it yrt you may want to look into it , a BATTERY UPGRADE , I switched to the oddsey battery (925) kinda expensive but a good peice of mind

My brake pads were shotat 500 miles. One bearing is starting to go out. My pads were probably worn from going to Busco alot

my pads went 1400 miles....wheel bearings are still good....had to replace all the control arm bushings and both tie rod ends and both bottom ball joints at 1400 miles....I greased the fittings according to the owners manual and that was not enough .....take my advice...if you ride mud and water grease every other ride with a marine waterproof grease....rayray, make sure you watch where the play is when you are checking the bearings....I thought my bearings were bad but it was my bushings and tie rods and lower ball joints....

Thanks Bubba...I grease mine after every ride, clean the airbox and check or change filter. I also spray a teflon lube on all moving parts, even the ones I grease. My main concern was I didn't want to go on a weekend ride and have something fail.

I'm gonna start working on some doors myself. I don't know what will come of it yet, it may be a no-go. When I built my bumper I got pissed off at it twice, and give up. Then I slammed some beer and got back at it. Who knows what will happen with the door project.

well....at least you did'nt piss on the bumper....

1300 on rear pads 1700 on front. front bushings went 1300 and need to be replaced again along with the rear. i also had to do one lower balljoint at 1300miles. still have stock bearings

I don't understand why the bushings wear out so quick...they have grease fittings right...or is it the material they are made of ?

dust, mud and water are what wears the bushings out....use a good marine grease and grease at least every other ride and they will last a lot longer.....Tiler65 greases his after every ride and he said he could not believe the water and mud that comes out of the bushings.....

Yep...I grease mine after every ride and it does push out a lot of water and dirt...that's why I said they should last longer than that if I grease it that often. I aint complaining though...My last ride went through brakes and wheel bearings like crazy.

if your greasing after every ride....then they are gonna last a long time....

One thing I've noticed is how I drive mine depending on where I'm at and who I'm riding with. If it's just me and a couple others, I slow down for the really rough stuff, and try not to take hard hits at higher speeds. But, at the big group rides I hit some bad stuff kinda fast because I don't want to let the guy in front of me get out of sight. There's a lot of factors in how long stuff will last.

alot of people crank their shocks all the way up and that puts more stress on the rest of the parts.....
