Turbo or Bigbore, or both?

Time to put some power in this beast and debating on a turbo, Aerocharger, or doing a big bore, porting the head, intake, bored throttle bodies, cams etc on my 900.  Anyone done it that can chime in?

This is me but if I plan to do trail riding I would leave it stock less chance of sometime going wrong

yeah, I swore thats what I would do when I got an XP, now Im bored with it, and want more, LOL  not needed but gotta have it! Want to do it right if I do it though.  Reliability is important.

Just remember the more u modify the more of a chance things can go wrong

But if u want to do something I would go with big bore kit

I kinda agree with Rick S.  XP has plenty of trail power.  If I had one, I might spend my $ on bolt-on improvements for trail riding - acceleration, handling and reliabilty.  I'd chop the cage, too.

I'm with Rick.   XP has tons of power. Doesn't need any more.

Lol, guess I'm just used to it now.  Pretty much done with the rest of the the machine, need to get new pics up.  Motor is about all thats left once I finish up the small stuff.  Only motor mod I have is the alba pipe, and clutch kit but it helped.  Guess I 'm a power nut and just want more.  Rarely will use it but fun to have when you do.  My buddies place near IVY we get to run it alot on top and lots of open trails and hill climbs that even the XP could use a little more at times.  May just go all internal.  Found a couple guys out west I could ship it to.  Cant really find anyone on east coast that does alot

Well heck just add the power kit from Polaris.  That will kick it up good and won't be too terribly bad on money

Waiting on some quotes to come in before I jump at anything.  One guy can do the big bore, cams, heads, springs, intake and all so we shall see.

Go in the engine and get it done right.  Stay away from power adders like turbos and NOS.  That way it will still be reliable.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that a turbo will get caked with mud and get warm, and would just have to much that could go wrong.  And piss on a bunch of having to run race fuel.  What a joke that would be.  Have you a nice engine built that can run on 93 and ride it instead of working on it, or overheating all the time, or worse.

Stay away from a turbo with the type of riding we all do. A re-mapped ECM, throttle bodies, big bore kit, intake, exhaust, and some head work will net you another 20HP to the tires without sacrificing reliability.

 So far, I only have one guy out west that I know can do it..Anyone you guys know of semi local that can do it?  Shipping the rzr is a little costly, but I just want to drop it off, and have it ready to ride for the reliability factor.  Other option is the complete Z1 engine swap, and they say they are reliable as heck.  Dont know anyone around that has one to check it out though.

Alba stage 2 kit is a +20 hp kit, Check it out. Im hooked up with Nate as a vendor if your interested. Way better than the Polaris kit that only gives you +6

I agree on keeping it stock, XP has great trail power.  That's why I bought an XP....so I wouldn't be tempted anytime soon.  I do understand the urge though.  Been there done that.  Older I get, the more reliability is important, hence my preference to keep things stock these days.

I'll still be interested to see what you end up doing.  Keep us posted.

 The stage II wakes them up for sure.  My buddy had it, which means I gotta go more LOL   but   May still need something so I appreciate the offer.  I will keep you posted.
