| Hey all,
Curious of anyone coming Thursday might consider him or herself aPolaris RZR CVT expert. Ours has been getting a bit whiny, and it is quite a bit worse today after we got it buried almost to the seats in a mudhole up on trail 98 above Ashland. Our winch stopped working (submerged) so we were there a couple hours before a group came by and pulled is out. I am guessing the CVT got wet even though we have the cover sealed with RTV sealant. It did not want to move until we let it rev in neutral a bit. We have a drain and not much came out though. Took the cover off and it is dusty but the belt looks good. We ran it with the cover off and the whine seems to come more from the primary clutch, and the belt seems to vibrate against it at medium rims as well.
We also have a grinding gear issue, so we have been turning it off to shift. Might be related. One more note is that my son pit on a new belt a few weeks ago, a G-Force Carbon C-12.
Basically looking to get a feel for if we are OK to be riding more or if we need to let it sit until we get home to work on it. Not sure my warranty will cover this situation anyway. Seems a bit self-inflicted.
We are in AL-2 if anyone happens by and can offer an opinion.
Thanks,
Tony | |

| Sounds like you smoked the belt. Always run the factory belt. All the aftermarket "heavy duty" belts are junk. | |

Thanks,
Tony Take it into Northfork and have Shawn at S & S ATV put a new belt on it if your worried about it.They will grind because it is idling to high from my experience with the last 2 RZR's I owned and I put over 12,000 miles on thise two so I have some experience with a RZR

Spring Ride plans & expectations
Thursday-everyone on their own to make ride plans
Friday-10:00am Group ride leaves from stop sign at campground
Saturday-9:30am Group ride leaves from stop sign at campground
Sunday-10:00 Group ride leaves from stop sign at campground
1.First off the Friday & Saturday group rides are not a party it's a ride so if you must drink do it in moderation as there won't be time to stop for lot's of pee stops.Save the partying for the campfire after the ride.
2.You need a rear view mirror to watch the person behind you and never run off and leave them where they don't know where you turned.
3.If you have mechanical problems for example overheating, broken belt, etc that can't be fixed quickly I will not have the whole group of 50+ other machines sitting around wasting their day waiting. The ride will continue and someone will stay with you to make sure you get back to camp.
4.If you are not ready to ride when the ride starts you will be left
5.Bring food and drinks and extra gas if your machine can't go 80 miles on a tank just in case we would ride that far.
We will have short breaks & a lunch stop on the trail.I will sound a horn when break is over and it's time to ride. After horn you will have 2 or 3 minutes to get in and buckle up to start riding again.
If you have any questions are you think I left something out please post

| We rode in the Picken's Poke Run yesterday and had a great time and there had to be 500+ vehicles. A little to crowded on the trails.
We were going to come down and ride with you all today but I'm having trouble with my EPS unit. We'll have to pass this time and see you all with the fall ride. With the weather as it is, I'm sure everyone had a blast!

| Boddy, thanks for putting this whole thing together! Had a great time and am looking forward to some spring/summer rides out of Matoaka! Thanks for showing me that war out of Ashland!
Just so everyone is aware, when I spoke to Bobby last night he was strongly leaning toward not having a fall ride and just having the annual spring ride. These rides are a lot of work to put together and the fall ride dates run very close to Hot Rod Rhinos fall ride! Seems like a logical move to me....Bobby's ride in the spring and Hot Rods ride in the fall. I am sure Bobby will chime in let us know ASAP so we can all plan accordingly. |
