| I know I seem to be all worldly and everything but I am new to the SxS world. I had ATVs for years but that was years and years ago when they were 3 wheelers. I have noticed that my SxS tires can use a little air every couple of weeks and I am not sure if this is due to the cold or poor seals around the beads. I did put some monster seal in all of my tires but that seems to have only slowed the air loss. Anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions. If it's the beads, I'll wait until I get new tires again and then have the beads treated! |

| Combination of both. You have a small hole somewhere too. As we ride these tires take a beating. Sometimes they get a small hole in them and this happens. If the leak is that slow I wouldn't worry about it. I have noticed as tires get time on them this problem pops up. |

| I will double check the valve stems and make sure they are tight. When I added the Monster Leak stuff I had to take them all out so thats a possibility. One of the tires has had a slow leak since it was put on but I think that might be due to them being 8 ply tires and a little stiff. |

| This is common. My current set does not leak at all. My set on my Rincon would leak down 1 psi a week. It's really hit and miss. I really think it can be rim, bead on tire, dirt in bead, or whatever. Sometimes i can not find a reason but it happens. My theory is the tires are not as precision as car tires and the rims are also of lower precision. It leads to slow leaks when there is not always a hole. I do know that the black tar like stuff that can be put on rim when setting the bead does help. It also makes a real mess when you need to replace the tire.
My reco is just live with it. Your next set of tires may be fine. I do like to scrub the rims between sets of tires since some tire shops just mount tires and don't clean the rim well.

| I agree with Randy.
I will add to that by saying that it's been my experience that storage time and dropping temps make them lose air pressure. When I was a kid and rode a hr after school every day, I never had a problem unless I got a hole in a tire. It is a fact that for every so many degrees the temp drops, you lose so many psi. Seems if you keep them turning, they stay warm and stay sealed up. Let them set, and most all of them will lose air after two weeks. I have rode one weekend, then rode the next weekend and they were ready to go, but I bet if I waited another week, they would be low.
I think the low psi in atv/utv tires allow them to leak down more vs a car/truck tire. With 35 psi, the bead has alot of pressure on it to keep it sealed against the wheel.

| Thanks guys, I think I will just look the other way and keep them aired up! It's really not a big deal just wanted to make sure this was not uncommon. |

The Monster Seal I added to them is supposed to be better than Slime. I'm kind of surprised/disappointed that the Monster Seal didn't stop the slow leaks but it might be due to a lack of ride time since I added the Monster Seal. I am sure on larger leaks, the air going out will draw the Monster Seal into the hole With these slow leaks, the Monster Seal might have to physically make it's way into the hole by the movement of the tires. I only have about 1/4 mile on the tires since they were Monster Sealed. |

| the best way i know to find leak is to wet tire down and mix some dish washing liquid in spray bottle and spray tire down one side at a time including tread and give it bout 4 or 5 min and watch for it to bubble if there is a leak you should find it | |

| I might have to do that just to know for sure where the leak is. I filled it up again yesterday! |

| Have you tried tightening the valve stem? I had a tire that would leak down about every 2 weeks and it turned out the valve stem was loose. | |

| I have put about 1000 miles on my Roctanes and have never had to add any air from one leaking down. | |

| I just went out and tightened up all of my valve stem cores. I got about a 1/4 turn or more out of the one that I have been losing air on. The other 3 were much tighter but I still snugged them up a little. I have a feeling the valve stem core was the issue all along. This would also explain why the sealant did nothing. There is no real way the tire spinning is going to direct sealant to a leaking core. |
