Installed Hot Rods rollers!

I was a little apprehensive about doing the install myself. I have never even had the clutch cover off on my Wildcat. I was at the shop the day they did a final inspection before I took delivery and watched the tech take it off but that was as close as I had ever been! After getting directions from Andy, buying a socket that would fit the primary and jacking up the Wildcat I went too work. Took off the tire to give me some room, removed the upper shock to get that out of the way. It was pretty easy to be honest, just have to remove the cover, get that damned clutch vent tube out of the way, hit the primary with the impact driver and take it off. The roller are right there under the cover and it still amazes me they do anything at all. I have not tested the new rollers yet, I did manage to damage the gasket on the cover so I had to order a new one. When I get it back on I will let you know what I think!

I already have the gasket ordered! If I was closer I would get it from him but I am in Lynchburg Va so it was just easier to order it and have it shipped! I just want to get it back together so I can feel the difference!

AWESOME.. IT DIDNT SEEM THAT HARD WHEN ANDY WAS TELLING YOU HOW TO DO IT..  I DONT KNOW WHAT CLUTCH IS IN MINE COMPARED TO YOURS SO IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF YOU NOTICE A DIFFERENCE.. THEN WE WILL KNOW IF IT SOMETHING WE ALL SHOULD DO..

HELL.... I HAVENT EVEN RODE MINE!!!!!!  OR TOUCHED IT!!!!!!!  OR SEEN IT IN PERSON!!!!!!!

AND ALREADY SPENDING THOUSANDS ON IT.........

WHAT A MONEY PIT!!!

 No, once I get the new gasket and get the cover back on I will take it out and feel the difference!

Big G your clutch is the new style so it wont work, this mod is for the old style clutch in the 12 and 13 standards if I'm not mistakened.

Gasket has been shipped, should be here on Tuesday!

Okay, I finally got the clutch cover back on and everything put back together! Had to run to Lowe's and pick up the 2 screws that attach the air filter box to that little bracket. I have no idea what I did with the original screws...looked everywhere! 
Anyway, took the Wildcat to my father in laws 26 acres to make sure everything was running right and see how these new weights affected the Wildcat. I am going to be honest, even with what others had said I was very skeptical about the difference these weights would have. After all, what could these little weights do anyway. Well, I was wrong, way wrong. When I hit the gas for the first time the back wheel broke loose and I was off. You need to understand that the Wildcat does not generally break the wheels loose like this, spinning the tires on the Wildcat was a very deliberate action. That is no longer the case. Thees weights put so much power to the wheels that I found myself out in the middle of the field doing donuts and giggling like a school girl/Tbone! I had never done donuts in my Wildcat before! I am not sure if would have done donuts before but I never felt like it had the power to do them with this much ease. I found myself having to let off the gas, and I mean way off the gas to allow the wheels to hook up again so I could get going. The nice thing is I have not lost the ability to feather the gas if I need to but when I hit the gas now....it goes!

Did anybody check with James to see if this was only for the old style clutches or the newer ones also?

My understanding is these are for the wet clutches only....but I am wrong pretty often!

James told me something about one of the mods on the wildcat were for the older kitty kats with the older clutches was the reason I ask because he said Big G already had one of the up grades already. Like you Ross I'm not sure if it was the sheave or the weights on the wet clutch.
