I'm riding Burning Rock Saturday.  LET'S GET IT!     


I got some snot gobbed up in my head, but I'm riding anyway.  Gonna be a nice day.

I riding someplace on Saturday....just not sure where! What is the start time out of Burning Rock?

Whatever time you guys want to start. Just say when.

All of you riding other places this weekend have fun and be careful.  I will catch up with you soon.  Being that I'm all clogged up in the head, snotin and snortin, I'm gonna stick to my plan and ride Burning Rock.  I love the place, and I got a year long pass.  Their rules and regulations sound strict, but when you pay $30/yr and they will come look for you if you ain't back on time, and if you have trouble they may even help you get out of the woods, that means these are some great people running this place, and the cost of the permit is pocket change for this kind of hospitality.  Trails seem to be really nice too.

Ya that was very cool when they came and got roger new years. Very nice place.

Wow....must be nice to be able to get it so cheap!! I just checked for out of state and it's now $100 per adult. I was thinking about checking this place out this year but maybe not now. I have to buy between 3-5 permits so it adds up plus we always buy HM permits.

I thought someone on here said they could get us a day ride real cheap or free....who was that??

$100 I wanted to check this place out also. I would have to buy 3 + HM passes. What do you guys think that have ridden there is it worth it?

H/M is cool because there are so many managed miles of trail.  Burning Rock is cool because trails are not groomed, amenities and service are impressive.  It truely is an adventure park if you're into off-road.  Cabins ,camping, zip line, general store, picnic areas, trails for all abilities, motocross course and rescue service.  That said, you'd have to use it a lot for the price of out-of-state per person usage.  Or, it's a family offroad destination.  Went once and bought my pass.

Permits are not cheap, but if you are going to ride it a few times I would say it would be worth it.  Compared to the outragous price of gas and a machine, the permit is pocket change.  I wouldn't buy a instate pass if I were not going to ride at least 4 times a year.  That's why I haven't got a H&M pass in years.  I'm 1 hr 45 minutes from the nearest, so I figure why even bother unless I know I will have time to make a few trips.

if you are a hotrodforums.net member its 1/2 price for out of state and 5.00 a day for out of state too...cant beat that!!

Burning Rock sounds like a fun place.

I never really understood the philosophy of charging out of state residents more money for something. We are all Americans and we should encourage out of state residents to come to West Virginia to spend money, not discourage it. Their money is great for our economy!!

Hopefully I will get down there to ride this year. Been wanting to try it out for awhile anyway.
