My last trailer we basicly made a door that layed on its side . Laying 2x4's on their sides we made the basic frame of a door and used 2x4's as cross braces in the center and covered it with 3/8's ply board . For hinges we used comercial door hinges since they would be carrying the weight . We put blocking in the wall ( Filled the wall with plywood attached to the studs ) and re-covered the wall and attached the hinges to this blocking . For the legs I used scrap ply to stand on end ( simular to a water bed support ) but used hinges to attach were it could be folded back to the wall( simular to the way a bifold door works ) . with the beds up against the wall it was only 2" thick off the wall but was solid as a floor ( I'm a big guy ( 350+ ) ) ... Bed folded up , you can see the bottom of the bed frame and the legs folded to the wall the legs are 2 pieces of Ply that have standard door hinges holding them together , they can make a L shape both ways ( toward the front and the rear ) supporting the center of the door , and center of the bed transfering the weight over the entire floor . I looked and can not find any pictures of this thing down so you can see the legs , hope this helps . A bonus to doing the legs this way is storage , the L shape lets you shove things under the bed you don't need while the bed is up . It took me exactly 2 min to set up this bed and tear it down , one barrel bolt held it aginst the wall . | |

| Excellent interiors on your trailers guys. I've been playing with some ideas for a while , but you guys really have it thought out . Mine is only a 16x7 x 7 1/2 hieght cargo . I really like the air conditioner . I hate sweating in my sleep. Thanks for all the pics . | |
