| Steve K and his 2 boys and ScottD and I will be riding Burning Rock Saturday May 3rd. Hope to do a little riding Friday evening and maybe Sunday morning. We have an RV site reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. Most of us will be on dirt bikes except Steve K because we know he needs 4 wheels and 4 seats for all of his extra Teryx spare tires!! Would enjoy having some of you all come join us. We are planning to get the HotRodRhino forum $5.00 a day pricing. Burning Rock says it is good through the end of the 2014. | |

| Is there enough riding there to justify a 3 hour drive? | |

| We will be driving about 3 hours to get to Burning Rock from North Carolina. It has been about 5-6 years since I rode Burning Rock so not sure if they have added trails since then but if I recall we hit most of the trails riding dirt bikes over the weekend. I would guess and say they have 100+ miles of trails. Others that have ridden burning rock recently may have better info | |

| BR has 92 miles of trails. You can also take an Outlaw trail around one tunnel and through another one going to Sophia. Sophia has a great Chinese Buffet. | |

| A couple weeks ago, we went down to the tunnels. Made a right at the 1st one, and went to the second one on BobT's map. It was blocked by rocks that had fallen from above the opening. Becky wanted to take pics inside of it, but I told her not to go up there because there were some really loose looking rocks overhead ready to fall. We went back to burning rock and rode.
Is there a way to bypass that tunnel to get to sophia? Is there somewhere close to Burning rock that I can ride to and get more gas? | |

| I'm not going to make it. Looks like I may have to work sat night, and I got a ton of stuff to do around the house anyway. Lots of nice trails in there. Don't waste to much time trying to decide what ones to hit, just start riding. The one way trail around there is fun, but watch for oncoming traffic. Even though it's one way, you will still meet people now and then. | |
