| Nice place to stay and eat opening in Bluewell, WV. He is obviously very knowledgeable about restaurants, but the layout with the cabins and the parking, especially with trailers and rv's is not ideal. Riding to the trail is not going to be possible. http://www.bdtonline.com/local/x1760069879/Region-s-newest-all-terrain-vehicle-resort-set-to-open http://buffalotrailcabins.com/ | |

| According to his sight he's 3.5 from the HMT's, that's not what I would call close. Are the roads between him and the trail head non ATV roads? |

| yea, you're gonna be on 52 or 71 unless somebody knows a trail out of Bluewell
my Buddy John says:"There's a couple back roads (Pepper St and Razorback Rd), just north on 52 from 71, that will take you to Simmons River Rd and Hillbilly Hideaway or the trail entrance. You may or may not be able to avoid 52 to get to Pepper St. Even if you need to ride 52, it's only 7/10 of a mile. "

| With as much effort and dollars as have been invested in the facilities, it would seem like a bad business decision to locate it somewhere where guests had to trailer to access any trails - HMT or non HMT. Having to trailer to a trailhead would be a deal breaker for a lot of riders... and eaters lol. | |

I agree 100%! The beauty to getting a cabin in a place like this is being able to unload and ride for a few days w/o having to hook up and trailer a machine someplace. I hope they have a plan to create a trail that will give them access to a trail. The restaurant sounds nice but it also sounds a little too nice for riders to be entering in riding clothes. |

| yep, that and the layout of the place is not set up correctly for rv's and trailers. he knows his business but he doesn't know off road rider's thinking | |

| That's too bad....we are not all that complicated! We want to be able to easily pull our trailers in, unload, and ride all weekend. When we get back to camp, we clean up and eat and then sit around shooting the shit and busting on each other! If there is a restaurant, that great, but it needs to be reasonably clean when I come in wearing my riding gear, have the basics there to eat...nothing to fancy. And clean up after me when I leave so it's nice for the next rider. |

| I'm sure he's anticipating town business to keep the place going, since he has chef's and upscale menu. But as you say most off roader's just want the basics. A location much closer to the trails, a simple diner and small, individual cabins with pull thru parking would have been much more suitable. | |

| The rv sites should be pull through. The parked by 4pm is nonsense. I want late check in since I will be leaving after work and may get there at midnight.
But no riding to the trails could be a real deal breaker for lots and lots of people. that and it is a long ride to the wagon wheel area and pinnacle creek hmt trails.
The restaurant is probably a little too upscale for the average atv crowd and with no ride in ride out it won't get the mud covered lunch crowd.
With all that said if I can ride in and ride out I may stay there sometimes if I have to trailer to ride then I will probably never even see the place.
