Dark Side

  XP1K is down due to voltage regulator back order (just found out 5min ago) that my dealer has one I can (borrow) but until Monday I will be using my brother's Maverick 1k, he is on vacation (also) and not taking his ride with him to the beach... so, I will put a few 100 miles on it for him and finish breaking it in, it has 63 miles    .  But I must add, (before the "I told you so" starts) I have about 1200 miles on my XP1K and this is the first issue I have had, no bearings, no ball joints, no bushings... I know I have jinxed myself now, as the voltage regulator was, but gonna have to live with it.. 

Glad you had a Plan B for the weekend!  Sounds like everything will be fine.

Ok, guess a little late in posting this, but put on about 87 miles in the Maverick last weekend, can't say I don't like it, cant say I like it (more then my xp1k) it has it's +'s and -'s, granted, the shocks have not been touched, rides a little hard, throttle response is a little different... a little better in my opinion.  Doors might help, feel like I am sitting to high, which gives you the top heavy feeling, almost put it on it's side 2X, but didin't   .  we were exploring so we did a lot of back-tracking... and one that was around 1/4 mile in reverse, tight trail, no where to turn around.

All in all, it is a great machine, but given my choice, I would take the xp1k.  With proper adjustments and add-ons, either is a great machine, it is up to you to decide which is better for you IMHO.
