| The name of the post is "What I have learned today". I don't know if this is only service information. BUT, I learned today that in my RZR, there are more places for mud, gravel, sand, and dirt to hide than I have ever experienced while cleaning a wheeler. I'm going to have to make a few hose pipe attachments with right-angles and bent-crooks to get to some of these places. Thinking that copper tubing with the hammered tips will work just right for the sharp pointed and fan types sprays. I have a pressure washer, but never did care to use it in places where I can't see what damage it may be doing. Always thinking...MD | |

| I use a little electric power washer that is just a little stronger than a car wash one...works great for cleaning but not strong enough to cause damage...plus it was fairly cheap... | |

| Ron, where would a fellow rider find one of these washers? AND would I need to look for a brand name make and model. Sounds like something a cautious person like myself would be interested in, especially if it is affordable...MD
I have the yellow 1500 psi pressure washer from Walmart. I should have included that in my comment...MD

| MD, from our posts it seems like we have the "cautious" part of our personalities in common. I have a 2700 PSI gas powered pressure washer and am afraid to use it on the Rzr. I've used it on our tractor and my ATV in the past, but I've always stayed at least 3' away from either one with the white spray tip. I figure that can't be any worse than a wet / muddy trail ride. Anything closer than 3' like in those nooks and crannies I use the "jet" setting on our garden hose. Time consuming for sure, but I'm OCD when it comes to keeping stuff clean. I bet Ron's electric washer would work great. | |

| Mine is a 1500 psi from lowes..paid i think 79 bucks for it....i just use the green tip and it wont peel stickers or anything...i am sure if you act a fool and try it might peel them it might but with a little common sense it works great....my 800 bout every other ride i pull the bed off to really let you get in and get things clean....first time or two this is a little time consuming, but i bet i can have the bed off in 10 minutes now...just remember to cover your air intakes | |

| Thanks Ron, It is amazing how brilliant minds think alike. My thoughts today were to remove the bed in the yard here at home, so it won't be Greek to me if I needed to on the trail.
Sounds like you know the 800's well, I thought there would be a pet-c--- drain on the belt housing for draining if need be. I haven't located a drain yet. Mine is a 2012 and the guy that showed it to me at the dealership didn't see one either and told me I may have to loosen a bolt to drain any water.
I don't ever plan to get water in it, but our best plans are spoiled by someone else at times...MD

| Hey Ron, I would have never thought of the "valve stem" idea. I guess that is why they pay you the big bucks.
Thanks and I will surely do that or something similar...MD

| I'm sorry, I read the post and just thought it was yours. Thanks Mr Elmo. The valve stem idea will make me have one sticking out of the lower corner that I can reach from the air intake side of the engine...MD | |
